There have been repeated offenses of the bouncer harrassing, intimidating, and targeting folks to "cover up." Most recently, my friend was subjected to this inhumane treatment. My friend was simply wearing a tank top and was asked to get up from her table TO LEAVE because of the body showing from her TANK TOP.According to the bartenders, this is something he has done before, multiple times. After another friend involved the bartenders after he berating my friend in the tank top for 30 minutes, the bartenders intervened and eventually had him apologize to her. His response as my group was leaving on the way out was, "I'm sorry, and I should do better."In no way was my friend, sitting in the corner of this bar minding her business, socializing with friends she hasn't seen in a long time, deserving of this descpicable beratement. It is incomprehensible that a human being, in 2023, could feel entitled enough to conduct himself in this manner. I will NEVER patron this establishment again.The job of a bouncer is to keep those in the bar safe. Not enfore the dress code of a Catholic elementary school. Especially in Bushwick.Indeed, do better.

The bouncer HARASSED me for 30 minutes telling me I needed to cover up. I had on a cropped tank top and PANTS (not that it matters). I can’t stress enough how casual this outfit was. My friends and I were sitting in a corner by the window minding our own business. He walked right up to me, yelling, that I can’t be in here “like that” and that I needed to leave. He repeatedly told me if I didn’t “cover up” I had to leave. He would not stop screaming at me and staring/pointing at my chest. Yet, no bartender intervened.At this point, me + 6 friends had already been there for ~2 hours and spent a lot of money on drinks. We were not rowdy or rude at all. My friend had to actually go up to the bar and basically force them to do something about it. They (bartender) brought the bouncer outside, talked for 30 seconds, then brought him right back in.Did a bartender check in on me? Nope. Did they apologize? Nope.This is BROOKLYN and it’s shocking/gross that I was able to be treated in such a way by the bar staff and had to fend for myself in this area especially. I’ve been going out in bk/ny for 10+ years now and this is my FIRST TIME ever being harassed for a TANK TOP.I checked the website - there doesn’t seem to be a dress code saying no tank tops. Actually, there’s no dress code at all that I could find.Really gross and disappointing.

I was really enjoying my time there until the bartender insulted the person I was talking to while they were ordering a drink. It seemed like the bartender was really insecure. We all know that jerks are jerks because they are insecure. You don’t need to make it so obvious. Keep your insecurity to yourself and do your job.

This place pours a remarkable Guinness — extremely mindful of both steps — and has a gorgeous cocktail menu as well. Great place to meet people and celebrate the neighborhood.
Love this bar, great music and dark moody interior vibe but the backyard is lovely and the people are all super friendly. Solid beer list and cocktails are excellent - excellent any time of

First time here, but all the conditions were perfect. Came with friends based on wanting a place to drink outside with the weather so nice and this place did not disappoint—the backyard is STUNNING. We came on a Monday night so it wasn’t too busy. 10 outta 10 would visit again ?

Went in around happy hour time (6pm) on a Thursday but there were no happy hour specials in sight / offered. I ordered the Silver Negroni ($13) which was pretty delicious and interesting. It did seem like the drink was on tap as opposed to a freshly mixed cocktail? There was no “making” of the drink and it was not specified that it was pre mixed on the menu.I asked about the gentian liqueur which was one of 4 ingredients in the drink, and the bartender said they weren’t sure if that was still a part of the drink anymore.Though this was a confusing experience to say the least, the bartender was very kind and let me taste some gentian liqueur when I asked about it. The bartender was also very kind to some interesting requests made at the bar by other patrons. Not your average snobbish Brooklyn bartender. Also, good music.
