Service was excellent. Was checked up on often. We sat in the outside patio. It was cozy. Drinks was delicious. They had a seasonal fireside negroni (a spin on the classic) that was meant to be a hot cocktail but I requested it to be cold. Still delicious and end up having two. Every ingredient used was locally sourced and curated to reduce food waste. To mention, food is easily shareable. My favorite by far was the chicken. Dried aged for 24hrs. Extremely tender and that salsa verde marinade was to die for.

Wildly overpriced. The food was mediocre and I left with a terrible stomach ache. Also, the coffee was sour and they only filled up the mug halfway.

I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. I look forward to returning to Leland Eating and Drinking House to explore more of their enticing menu offerings! 10 star review!!!

Stopped by on my way to the car after seeing the Fort Greene orchestra around the corner. Aesthetically beautiful. I loved the clean look to it with the kitchen block bar counter. It had cute tchotchkes around. I found the menu limited and also if you aren't an adventurous eater, this menu is not for you. We ordered olives, the main menu focaccia, a beets salad that was on special for the evening and the yu choy. Everything was flavorful with the exception of the focaccia. It may be because it was the end of the night, I found it on the stale side of it. Their cocktail menu is very limited but the bartender knew her classics. I love that they had a vermouth menu! Service, well this is where the 3 stars rating comes from. I'm in the industry so sometimes I can't help picking up things when I visit other restaurants. The host, which I'm assuming is part of a management team as I saw her sit herself in the corner and eat and get on the work computer, was cold, unwelcoming and to be quite frank, unnecessarily obnoxious to a customer who was there before us. We get it, it's last hour of service, it's annoying to keep having people come in when you think the night is wrapping up. But the way she talked to that guest and then proceeded to acknowledge us standing there, and chose to walk away without saying a word, was childishly ridiculous. We walked ourselves to the bar as clearly we were being ignored, which seemed to annoy her and her counterpart who I'm also assuming is part of management's team. They made us feel uncomfortable cleaning off the bar top. Didn't acknowledge when we thanked them, instead the faces they made once again childish. For the bites we had, and the two round of drinks we had, the bill was 170 dollars and we were in and out of there in 45 minutes. We would've stayed longer and another round but I was getting the vibe that those two didn't want people around. If they don't understand that the business needs that in their drawer but thinking it's okay to be that unwelcoming, they are clearly doing that place a disservice. Brooklyn or not, no one wants a crappy interaction when they are trying to grab a bite to eat.

There's a lot to love about this place. It has a great ambiance--bustling but not too loud, nice modern farm decor. The food is fantastic. I had the fried fish, which was terrific, and almost large enough for two people's entree. The fritters & Japanese sweet potatoes were also terrific. Everything is quite expensive (fish was around $45), but I certainly don't mind given that it's all made from scratch & tastes amazing. There were two problems, however. First, we had to wait a very long time for food. It took us 20-25 mins to get drinks, then 35 mins for starters, then almost an hour for the main dishes. The meal took over two hours in total, and that really detracted from the experience. The waitress brought us chocolates to apologize, but even so, 2+ hours is far too long. Second, the menu was quite limited. Three of the five dinner specials were sold out (9:00 pm on a Friday, FWIW) so anyone not eating meat is basically forced to make do with smaller plates. My vegetarian GF decided to cheat and have fish so she wouldn't be limited to small plates. All-in-all I'll give this place another try because of the terrific food & pleasant ambiance. But if the problems recur, that will be the last time

Our group of 6 shared multiple dishes. The food overall was just alright. The service and atmosphere were alright but not exceptional. I felt it was overpriced. The total bill was over 500 which seemed a bit high since each of us only had a one drink or two.

Food is really good here, literally every bite was delicious. We went for brunch, had the French toast brulee, squid sandwich, sausage egg & cheese sandwich, cheddar Biscuit ... everything was top notch, bread and buns freshly baked! The drinks were fantastic, bloody mary, lime and salt mocktail. Service was excellent quick, efficient. We're definitely coming back very soon!Kid-friendliness: The accommodated our infant and stroller easily!

The food reminded me restaurants from Sydney, Australia. Each dishes taste Pacific rim but it had Mediterranean twist.the patio table setting isn’t good. The table had whole gap that the water glass can collapsed and splash down through.I was eating with my kids and they gave me big giant steak knives that I tried to make sure put it on the plate so it won’t fall through the table gap and stabbing on our foot. The whole dining experience made me not relaxing. Therefore if in the future going to keep the outdoor area please invest in a better dining table.

Did a whole animal butchering class and tasting menu here. The experience was awesome and delicious. The restaurant only uses responsibly raised and sustainably sourced animals (also happens to make them more delicious). They use 98% of the animal. And because they're not buying only the prime cuts of meat it allows/ forces them to be creative with their menu to use the whole animal. You will find something different every time you go. So when you go you can not only feel good about the delicious food you're eating, but that you're supporting a local business which is more driven by values and doing good than just by profit.

The food is good, but overpriced. All the flavors were delicious, but the dishes were very expensive for what I received. I got the $27 steamed clams, and 4 of the 13 clams were inedible (didn't open) - so I paid a lot for not too much to eat! I hope the kitchen will not serve the dish like that in the future. Service was very good, though.

Finally got a chance to get a bite here. I was not disappointed. The praises about here are spot on. Loved the pork butt special and eggplant and tempura long beans. The wine, on recommendation, brought all the dishes together in a mouth-loving synthesis of flavors, East and West, to my heart and mind's contents.
