The food and wine here are amazing. The chopped salad is the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, the people who work here are so consistently unpleasant that it overshadows everything the kitchen does right. The service is curt, unwelcoming, and honestly hostile. I always overlook it because the food is that good, but today was the last straw. The restaurant was empty, per usual. We asked for a table for eight. The hostess told us we needed a pre fixe menu (for a pizza restaurant………..no). We offered to split into two tables of four, but she refused, saying it was still considered a party of eight. There literally were two seated tables in the dining room.

It’s baffling that a restaurant with such incredible food would allow this kind of arrogance and incompetence to drive people away. The kitchen deserves better. Sad to say I’m never going back.

The food here is great. The servers and host staff are pretty rude to be honest. I get it it’s a cool spot but Jesus, try a little lol. It’s a bummer.

Great spot for a quick bite - bartender Brian made our night fitting us in in a hurry and had great recs for skin contact wine to pair with excellent pizza and salad.

Leo is okay—some dishes are tasty, like the pastas and appetizers, but others feel a bit bland or hit-or-miss. The flavors are decent, but nothing really stands out. The space is cozy and the staff is friendly

Shared an outstanding bagel plate here with my daughter. Bagels and all trimmings fresh and high quality. Yummy soft serve too--peanut butter and jelly swirl when we visited.

Delicious pizza, tiramisu and espresso. Minimal and stylish interior, very cool slightly avantgarde background music. I‘ll go back soon.

I’ve been here a couple times, really consistent and delicious! The Caesar salad is sooo good and the soft serve is a must. The atmosphere is great too, feels like you’ve been there before. Overall, really good food and I think it’s fairly priced.

After finding this place on a best of Brooklyn list, I was pretty excited to try it out, but in hindsight I would have been better off going to that one pizza place some people may know about a block away. The sourdough itself is very good, the pizza toppings range from unimaginative to pretty bad (probably skip the clams and cheese pie) and the fries that come with the burger are easily top 10 worst fries I’ve ever had. I was curious about the oysters, but having asked our neighbors at the table next to ours about them, their review of the $4/pc oysters was pretty discouraging to even try them. “So-so”, they said, while their face was reading something a lot less polite.

Our waitress clearly forgot to put in one of our orders because they for some reason refuse to write anything down, then when asked about it said it’ll only be 5 minutes as if it was coming all along. In her defense, it took only about 5-7 after I asked, but that’s conveniently the amount of time it takes to fire a pizza in a brick oven anyways so it more or less proved she forgot. Honesty would have looked better.

The orange peel rosemary oil they pour over the olives kind of washes the salt and subsequently the flavor off the olives themselves, and it must have been hot, since it also cooked them, which gave them the exact same texture and similar flavor to cheap shelf-stable canned olives such as Lindsay or Pearls. This place is a bar through and through that just happens to serve pizza because they had exceptional drink options and the one genuinely good thing they serve is the charcuterie plate. So in a summarized review of this place: Come here for drinks, get a charcuterie plate to share, then don’t waste your time and head to L’industrie or any of the bars that have pinball a block or two away. The food, today on a Monday night was unfortunately forgettable and overpriced. 4.8/10

I was hungover, running late to work and in dire need of some food on my way to the train. Spotted Leo and went in to grab a regular slice to save me. And damn it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised. The girl at the counter with the commodore sweatshirt was so sweet and accommodating! Even just the regular cheese slice was excellent. Can’t wait to come back and actually sit down and enjoy a pie with some friends.
