This food has a heart and soul - it is nourishing
I don’t know what’s worse: the pizza or the people who run this establishment.
Let’s start with the pizza. The crust is far too thick for my liking, the dough and sauce are completely bland, and the cheese tastes low-quality. The result? A subpar, underwhelming slice of pizza that’s not worth the price or calories.
Now, about the owners. They seem to think they own the entire corner of 85th street and 3rd ave. In the summer, they block the sidewalk with an outdoor setup of a big screen TV, tables, and chairs for their friends to watch sports games. It’s a nuisance for pedestrians. In the winter, their delivery drivers park their cars in crosswalks, forcing pedestrians to either walk in the street or squeeze between parked vehicles.
Overall, it’s not just bad pizza; it’s bad behavior, too.

Bay Ridge has a bunch of outstanding pizza places to eat but Leo's is at the top of the heap. Authentic Brooklyn pizza and if you decide to get toppings, they load chicken, sausage and pepperoni on the pie to the point you need a fork to eat the slices. The portion sizes of the dishes and salads are bountiful as well, leading me to my often said line I eat like I'm going to the electric chair whenever I'm there. The seafood and calamari is the best around if that's your taste. Huge recommendation to eat at Leo's whenever you are in Brooklyn. As an added bonus the staff are big sports fans and always have the games on to watch while eating.

I used to love Leo's casa Calamari a couple years back. Recently ordered here again and was VERY disappointed. The price has stayed the same or gone up, but the quality of the food has gone way down. You're better off ordering from any other pizzeria for the price you pay. I also ordered online, and when we arrived for pickup we were told that the order had only just arrived, HALF AN HOUR LATER after I had received a text message saying my order was placed and confirmed! So from order to pickup it was pretty much an hour. After seeing the quality has gone down I just won't be ordering from here again.

The Italian restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. It is primarily a takeout. Some tables indoors and outdoors for dining. The restaurant had a television outside broadcasting a football game that attracted a small crowd of people. I ordered a slice of "round" pizza. It was good and had some seasoning. The "square" slice was plain and was mostly a cheese topping with little sauce. The filet of sole oreganata was a nice size portion with mixed vegetables and a potato croquette. Friendly and helpful staff.

Calling this place a pizza store does it a disservice. There is variety galore in this very authentic Italian restaurant. Outdoor seating, indoor air conditioning and a friendly staff improve on a stellar menu where you can find variety and have confidence that everything that you try will be more than satisfying. If you are in a hurry and want something fast and delicious or if you are fortunate enough to be able to spend time here, you will leave this establishment with a smile on your face and a satisfied stomach.

My fiance and I have dined in here many times and can say we did enjoy Leo’s seafood. The few times we have ordered his pizza, we have realized the dough wasn’t always good and either would come out undercooked, light in color and a layer of doughiness. The ingredients on them would be tasty, but unfortunately to make a good pizza, your dough should be top priority. We’ve always known Leo to be this old school high ego kind of guy that doesn’t take criticism quite well. With that being said, we had finally decided to let him know that we weren’t content with his pizza ultimately knowing we would get the reaction we expected from him. He was quite puzzled and shocked as if his pizza can never be faulty, how could this be happening. He proceeded to mention he would send another one and then called back to ask for his old one back. He didn’t care to make us happy, he cared to just prove to us we were wrong. As we had friends over, everyone took a bite of their pizzas so some were sent back eaten. He proceeds to call us back just to ask why we ate some if it was that bad? We started explaining to him we of course had to eat it to understand if it was undercooked or not. His ego spoke and he’s super defensive telling us if it was that bad you wouldn’t be eating it, etc. it escalated to him just talking over us explaining- he mentions to not order in with them ever again hanging up in our face.
We have a business and can absolutely tell you we would never treat a client poorly for simply calling to let us know there was something wrong with their purchase.
Your customer service is so incredibly rude when handling criticism, please learn to put your ego aside and treat the clients that support you better.
With that being said, there’s better businesses around that will treat you better and have quality pizza/seafood.
