The only remaining place I know of that still does *frosted* (rather than iced) black and white cookies. I will travel to Brooklyn for this!
Delicious semolina bread
This bakery is awesome, from the cashiers to the crew in the back. Very courteous and respectful. So much variety to choose I love it!

A real bakery finally. The breads are amazing, especially if you love hard crusted. The French and Brick Oven loaves are a throwback to when bread was bread. So happy to have found them.

chocolate and raspberry twists were tasteless and stale. Nutella tart and cannoli lobster tail were both good. seven layer cake had a weird floral perfume to it, but otherwise was okay.
Owners have the personality of a dumpster fire. They treat their employees as well as the customers like trash. Don't waste your money on these clowns.

You couldn't even convince me to come back to this place if the pastries were free. I paid 3 dollars for a vanilla donut and it was very dry. The dough tastes closer to a piece of wonder bread than anything a donut dough should taste or feel like. There was barely any vanilla cream in it and thank goodness for that because it was sour and almost tasted like vanilla yogurt. Do not waste your time or money at this place. It looks like almost all the good reviews are from years ago.
No longer Leske's and for 5 dollars a donut with barely any filling, I won't be returning.

Disgusting place, nasty with many flying insects around. I asked if they have other products inside they said no we sell only this what you see, The flies were all over the bread, i don't recommend it.
Their breads and rolls are wonderful....but you have to come in early in the day, as they usually sell out pretty qiuckly....
I wish you could give this place a zero. I went in just to get some bread. The place has new owners. They were closing and cleaning with the doors opened. We asked what time they closed the clerk looked disgusted by the sight of us and began to yell that she was closed. We asked from what time to what she would reopen tomorrow. But she looked frustrated by all the questions. Needless to say with an attitude like that she doesn't want customers at her new business.
Use to be a great Scandinavian bakery. Since new ownership they stop making wide selection of donuts, cakes. The bakery is leaning towards Italian bakery. The bread is not what it use to be.
I regularly buy fresh delicious Italian bread, recommend
