The platonic ideal of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Outstanding service, excellent food, it is the distillation of comfort

5 people in the place and they took a long time to take out orders. Fried Rice was kind of puffy and taste like it was a day old, tso chicken was a bit hard and the sauce was like gunky. We have not been to this place for like 6 yrs since my wife works from home and we live in staten island. It so happens we were in bklyn and thought it would be nice to have chinese in a familiar place so we went since we liked the food in the past. We'll I don't think I'll be going back again.

The Lion Mane Mushroom was delicious. I don't think I've ever had it before, but it's a filling alternative to meat.

I went to this restaurant as it is the closest Chinese spot to my job. On my lunch break, I dined in, and ordered General Tso chicken with fried rice and egg drop soup. I wanted about 10 minutes for my food, so wait time was decent enough, they had also given me some black tea and wonton crisps during the wait time, which I didn’t really eat much of that as it they didn’t taste fresh. After receiving my food, I was pleased with the taste, and portion size was decent enough, though I feel I would have received more if I ordered through takeout, but luckily, I wasn’t too hungry to begin with, so I ate as much as I could for the time being in there. Shortly after being done, I did have an upset stomach and had to use the bathroom asap, I’m not sure if it was the food or the tea they had served, but the effects were almost immediate and was not feeling so good to eat for the rest of the day. As soon as leaving the bathroom, I saw they placed my check on the table, which was a bit odd but I guess they wanted me to pay right away. But overall, food tasted fine, service was okay though I believe they could be a bit more responsive and outgoing to me, and the food was reasonably priced. Would probably not recommend going again because of my personal experience but as the only Chinese food option in the area would say do as you wish going to this restaurant but would not highly recommend it.
