Food was great for a reasonable price. Jerk pork was meaty and tasty and the jerk sauce complimented the rice and peas. The plantains were soft and nice but maybe the coleslaw could use some more love. Enjoyed hearing the reggae music while we waited for the food. Service was OK.

Keepsake Memories

Great experience while we visited from out of town! We ordered curry chicken & beef patties. They were hot and flavorful. It brought back memories of home. This is located in a unique underground market hall. So there's various eateries here!

Don’t eat here , instead of jerk pork they serve you jerk bone. Spend your money elsewhere. If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased food from your establishment on Monday, June 23rd, and was extremely disappointed when I got home. The plate was filled with tough, mostly bone-filled meat, completely drenched in jerk sauce. When I called the restaurant to express my concerns, I was met with disrespect rather than understanding. Experiences like this are disheartening and reflect poorly on customer service. It's unfortunate when businesses, especially those in our community, fail to value their customers.

Worst everrrrrrrr Caribbean food I’ve ever had and I NEVER write review but the way they pissed me off is beyond me! I spent 70 dollars not on uber eats but in person two oxtails dinners and one curry goat dinner! Which the rice was completely dry not a lick of gravy no veggies and both oxtail pieces and goat piece was completely just bones like this is ridiculous how can they be okay with serving customers like this and the thing that pisses me off is how would they feel if they went to someone’s else establishment and was served the same quality of food I know they would be pissed so why do it to others just disrespectful and selfish to the ppl of NY and the portions I spent almost a hundred dollars on just rice !!! AND ALL THESE PPL ON THESE REVIEWS ARE LYING ABOUT ITS A GOOD PLACE AND GOOD FOOD THEY GOTTA BE PAID ACTORS DONT BELIEVE THEM ANS DONT EAT THERE

Visited this place on Mother’s Day after a morning with my daughter. I ordered the beef patty and coco bread with oxtail sauce to go. My order was up and I went to go find a table to check my bag and to my surprise the oxtail sauce was SO HOT … HOT is an understatement…that it melted the plastic lid off the container!!! Thank God I checked because what if it was for my daughter??? She could’ve burned herself… a warning would’ve been nice. I understand giving warmed sauce, but HOT where I couldn’t even take it out the bag without a napkin as a barrier. First thought was “chemicals” next thought was “ this is ridiculous. Either figure out how to serve the sauce on the side or open the patties and put the sauce there!!!!!!!!!!!

Serious Concern Regarding Food Quality and Health Impact at \[Food Spot Name]**

I’m writing to bring attention to a recent experience I had at this establishment that raised both immediate concerns about the quality of food and potential long-term health implications for customers.

I recently ordered a side of plantains, and unfortunately, the dish had a strong, unpleasant taste that resembled burnt plastic and rubber. The texture was off, and the flavor was so strange that I was genuinely concerned about the quality of the ingredients or the cooking process. This kind of off-tasting food raises not only concerns about food safety but also the possibility of contamination, especially if the cooking oil or equipment used was degraded or improperly maintained.
This experience prompted me to reflect on a broader issue. Many people, including myself, have become increasingly aware of the potential health risks associated with processed foods, plastics, and contamination from certain cooking materials. In particular, there is growing concern about the impact on men’s and women’s health, especially for women dealing with conditions like **Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)**. Women with PCOS are especially sensitive to hormonal imbalances, and food contamination — including exposure to chemicals from plastics or oils — can exacerbate these issues.
Additionally, seafood and certain foods that come from bottom feeders, which often accumulate harmful chemicals like plastics and toxins, have raised questions about their long-term impact on health. Many women, especially those with pre-existing conditions like PCOS, might unknowingly be consuming foods that further affect their health.
Given these concerns, I urge you to evaluate the quality control measures at your restaurant and take steps to ensure that the food served is safe and free from harmful contaminants. I believe that restaurants, especially local ones, have a responsibility not just to serve food, but to protect the health of their customers, and those straight women who may be more vulnerable to certain health conditions like PCOS.
While I am sharing my personal experience, I am also raising this issue as part of a growing conversation about the health implications of food quality and the hidden dangers in many of the things we consume. I encourage your establishment to be proactive in addressing these concerns and to bring awareness to the importance of food safety and its connection to our women’s health. And I ain’t talking for the ones who have a mental issue and want to be a man and need that hormonal imbalance.

The food is so amazing, especially the curry goat and oxtail stew.
