ASIAN PERSUASION

The food is good and the lamb steak was amazing. I was surprised that it did not have the funky taste that some of the times I ate lamb had. The pasta was also very good with having nothing too overpowering. The appetizers could have alittle rework done on it due to the bread for the toasted garlic bread just tasting burnt and no flavor coming from the bread as it relies too much on the mozzarella to have flavor. The Juliet tomato focaccia waa good and would get again just wanted the bread alittle softer. Great service and very attentive to detail. I would come back if in the area. Just sucks you have to make a reservation a month ahead of time.

Sat at bar. Great watch goings on. Barmaid and bartender very friendly. And they made some good food suggestions. Artichokes (Carcioffe!) was seriously bigger and tastier than before. All in all a great experience.

This is the best pasta I have ever had in my life. It literally melts in your mouth. The freshness , the temperature , everything is so gratifying with every bite! I can’t wait to come back to NY just to eat this again !

Decent food but time after time the pretentious, passive aggressive staff ruins the entire dining experience.

Had a great dinner at Lilia. Great service, their sommelier advised us on the perfect pinot noir to accompany our food. Adored the scallops and pesto gnocchi. My first time trying olive oil on vanilla ice cream, delicious.
We booked a few weeks in advance and could only get a table outside which was nice, however the atmosphere inside looked great, would recommend.

Lilla is an experience. I was able to get bar service on a Friday. The drinks and food were both great. In particular, the sheep’s milk cheese filled angolotti was incredible. Definitely worth a trip.

The food, wine, timing of courses, and service were impeccable. Our server Aiden, did a fantastic job. It was one of the best meals I’ve had!

I’ve had the privilege of eating here more than a few times and always leave extremely happy.

Without a doubt you MUST order the Sheep’s Milk Agnolotti. It is their signature dish and my personal favorite. It always hits our table when we are there.

The focaccia is also incredible and I love the mussels. The mafaldini tends to be a little salty, so if you’re into that, it’s a good order as well. And to wrap up with dessert, their ‘Italian Job’ with fennel seeds and olive oil is to die for. Great atmosphere overall.

Getting a reservation:

There are two keys to getting a reservation 1) call their phone number 31 days in advance of your desired date at 10am or 2) show up 15 minutes before they open and either have an early dinner, or ask availability for later in the evening. For #2 - this typically only works for groups of 2-4 ppl, as it’ll be very tough to get a larger group table (if at all).

Enjoy!

Yes, can confirm all hype is real. Impossible-to-book status justified (sorta, see later). Most reviews have the must-eat list correct: sheeps milk cheese agnolotti is an absolute MUST. However, much is written and fawned-on about the pink peppercorn malfidini. It's definitely a unique taste but I'm not so sure it's an absolute must-have. The other smaller dishes are great too. Don't sleep on their seafood/shellfish options. They had prawns that I just ate whole, shell and all. This is pretty significant for me because I never eat shrimp shell (well mostly because they're too hard). But when you fry/cook them perfectly, they become super crispy and wafer-like which i exacly how these were. The flavor is all on the shell so this was a very very tasty surprise. Oh and for dessert -- the vanilla gelato with the honey, olive oil and fennel -- artistic genius. Regarding its impossible-to-book status: they have a huge outdoor space with room for probably 5 more tables. I wish they would open up more tables so that it's not this hard to get a table.

This was a much anticipated reservation for me that my boyfriend was able to secure. I was so excited, as I've been dying to try it for years. At first we were sat 15-20 mins after our resi, which at first wasn't a big deal, but, as the night went on my disappointment continued to grow. We ordered a bunch of stuff to try and 3/6 of the dishes we ordered came out cold. At first, the artichoke came out cold, and we brushed it off. Next the mussels came out and were room temp at most. When we asked if they were supposed to be served cold (we weren't sure!) we were told they were served room temp. Not sure if that's true and if it is, I apologize, but I've never had room temp mussels before. Lastly our much anticipated caramelized onion ravioli was watery inside and also, room temp at best. We then ordered dessert, which they were out of, adding to our frustration. It was a resi on the later end, and the team was closing up, but we didn't expect that to affect our experience, which it clearly did. We then waited for a while after finishing our dessert for the check, while our waitress chatted and cleaned up in preparation for closing. If the staff isn't able to handle customers while closing up, they shouldn't be taking reservations that late. Especially knowing this a resi that people chase. Overall, extremely disappointed.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here after having it on our list for more than a year. Focaccia and Agnolotti were delicious, and we enjoyed the other pastas as well. Unfortunately, after reminding the hostess and my husband making a note on the reservation, his birthday was not acknowledged. This was extra frustrating since we saw several other birthdays celebrated around us. Definitely a bit disappointing.

my barista Anna was amazing, she delicately made my iced coffee with love and care. She asked how my day was and treated me with the utmost respect and her hospitality was top tier. I will definitely be coming back for more.
