A safe space
I’m very disappointed on my experience at lips cafe. I was very excited to support a black owned shop and as beautiful as the space is the cashiers attitude was distasteful. Customer service is everything and if the first person I approach and ask for recommendations gives me a weird vibe my experience is thrown off. The young women who I ordered from acted like she didn’t wanna be there, didn’t want to give me recommendations and then was randomly starts laughing in my face with someone who was sitting on a stool and it made me uncomfortable. Coffee also tasted watered down. If my experience was better I wouldn’t have even wrote the review about the coffee but the attitude is just terrible.
The sevice is a bit slow. The coffee made me nauseous. The atmosphere was ok.
Everything 5 stars except that our food took 55 mins to come out. 😩 They said they had a lot of online/delivery orders. They did give me a free cocktail for my troubles. I'd like to go back on a weekend.
insanely delicious place with an incredible vibe, a fantastic third place for the neighborhood with great food and coffee and drinks. a true gem!
Lips is such an amazing and welcoming cafe. The food is delicious and so are the drinks. I love coming here.
Didn’t like the customer service , he was very rude but it’s overall a good place to come unwind. I like the aesthetic of the place it’s cozy wish I had a better experience.
Never thought I would drink a blue Matcha before, but this was the greatest one I've ever had! It was such a unique flavor, I definitely tasted the lavender addition 🪻

Super cute cafe. Gives “back in college” vibes. Nice lil vibe with the music. Seats are limited. Jerk chicken wrap with hot sauce on the side was 10/10. Cocktails were good too. Service was satisfactory although there is a bit of a wait for food. Would def recommend.

About a week ago, @dowhatyouthink_ did their frequent event called Coffee & Vibes here and I was the host. It’s a networking event for creatives and entrepreneurs to connect and build relationships. The space is nice and cozy, and the decor is very unique. The owner and staff were amazing! The Rasta pasta is one of my faves. I switched it up this time and had the jerk chicken and it was great, as well. It’s a must to visit Lips.

Visited this cafe per recommendation by a friend but my experience was not that great. I ordered the iced latte with oat milk and caramel which was very good. That I give 5 stars. I also did the turkey panini which is where my issue came hence the 3 stars. The panini came with tomatoes and pesto which was very tasty but unfortunately for me, the tomato in half my panini had the paper sticker and hair on it when I bit into while chewing. I had to throw that half panini away and since I live far, I could not return to the cafe. Overall it’s a nice place and I would recommend anyone to visit. It

The food left me speechless. The interior has a very boho coffee shop vibe, that you would NEVER expect such bomb food from.
Came with a group of 6 and we ordered at the counter and took our own seats. It was about 1:00 on a weekday and it was fairly empty with a few people on their laptops.
My friends got the chicken and waffles, the salt fish, and the jerk chicken wrap. I got the Rasta pasta (and OH MY GOD) which was absolutely out of this world.
I paid a bit extra to get the Rasta pasta with chicken, and had no clue it would come with fresh Jerk chicken on the bone! The pasta was creamy and seasoned to perfection. I also got a drink which was delicious.
My friends ordered coffees, lattes, and smoothies, which they all downed right away. This place had such high quality delicious food that’s clearly made with love. The food did take a bit long to come out, but it was worth every single minute of waiting. Good things take time.
