Food was amazing and fresh! I have been searching for a Haitian restaurant in bk and this one is so good! I got black rice, chicken, mac and cheese, and passion fruit juice. My plate was cleared afterwards.

There is so much I can say, but all I will say is that this owner does not know how to treat customers. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years serving, bartending and light cooking. To have a business selling food is more than just selling food. It's making sure that the people who do come back always will. I came here once before and it was amazing. But when I came back recently and got the same Griot entree I was shocked and disappointed. The griot had not salt and I couldn't even have two spoons of the rice before I spit it out. Not only was I disappointed but I brought my family there as well and they were equally disappointed. Since they gave us everything in separate containers I gave the rice back and asked for a refund. The man took my number and said someone would call me back. But when they did I was met with complete disrespect. I'm not a person who would put a poor review up just because I did not get my way. This review was for the lack or respect from the owner, who continued to tell me that there was nothing wrong with My order, and that I should be gracious that he even wants to replace what I bought because I ate half. Im not sure where this man learned how to run a business but the reviews speak for itself. I am Haitian and would never tare down another fellow establishment. But this place is over priced and the food isn't good.. worst of all the owner has no humility. Go there if you want but I KNOW you'll find better else where.

This a small shop with great food that's big on flavor.I had tasso, diri, sòs pwa ak yon kola ayisyen and everything was so flavorful!Good Haitian food has a layered flavor profile. It's not just food dumped in a pot with Costco spices dropped on top.It takes time and it takes a love for Haitian food to cook it properly. And this shows that care.At my first bite of sòs pwa I was in heaven. So smooth and rich and tasty. The tasso with its own sauce was rich--you can taste the marinade. And the rice was smooth and almost buttery.I had my eye out for this restaurant when I came to New York, and I'm so glad I didNote that they also let me order in Haitian Creole. I'm still learning to but they were kind enough to accept my efforts to speak their language. Very kind and generous people!
