This restaurant designed a space people enjoy. The food has great spices. Bills are reasonable and staff is friendly. I've experienced nothing better anywhere. Liu's Shanghai offers an ideal spot, helpful employees, and fair costs. I'm confident in my return here.

We had the crab meat tofu (absolutely delicious, 6yr old kid approved), beef bean curd and peppers, string beans with ground pork (we found the ratio was more string beans than pork), and soup dumplings. Absolutely delicious, and was made quickly.

I usually enjoy dining here, but last time the tableware had a noticeable bleach smell, which made me worry that it wasn’t rinsed properly. Hope the restaurant can look into this.

Went to try out some new foods. The lions head meatball was ok, felt like needed more seasoning. The Peking pork and braised chicken dish were delicious. The scallop soup dumplings were amazing, filled with juice. The waitress were always checking in on us and giving our tables refill of water too

DECEPTIVE & DISHONEST BUSINESS (my experience)
I included an honest review of my food order below. If you choose to order food at this restaurant then I hope you do not have the same experience.

The food was poorly flavored.
The Soup dumplings were overly sweet and lacked the flavors normally associated with quality Asian soup dumplings.

I also ordered chicken and Broccoli and pork fried rice. Here was my experience:

There was Certain low quality food preparation.
The pork fried lacked visible culinary effort and was greasy. A quality cook would use high flame in the Wok (an obvious thing) to obtain a nice quick smoky char to the fried rice. This pork fried rice was undercooked and greasy.

The chicken:
They included a very small amount of finely chopped chicken meat with nearly half the portion being finely sliced chicken slimy SKIN. I was in disbelief and thought the sliced chicken skin was a random piece of fat, but I soon noticed a LARGE AMOUNT of uniformly sliced chicken skin added to the dish along with a small amount of actual chicken meat. This seemed to me as a deceptive choice made by the business to cut their costs.

I would not recommend this business, and my phone experience with the business owner was negative, as she was terribly rude to me. I give this place a two thumbs down.

Salty! Buns are below average. Rest of the food are either not traditional or full of none flavor sauce. Last visit was a few years ago the good is as bad as I remember it to be. NEVER AGAIN!

Finally made it to this place! I love when they soup dumpling with cabbage on the bottom. I ate them both(two slices). Scallops and pork filling is very savory and yummy. Love the jellyfish salad! (i forgot a pic)

Great service! Although highly recommend to make reservations ahead due to limited seating. Walk-ins usually faced with long wait time. A very good option if you don't feel like making the trip to Queens or Manhattan for shanghainese food.

Ordered for pick up, went there with my daughter to pick up the food. It wasn’t ready so we waited inside because it was cold outside. The girl at the reception seemed arrogant and rude, seemed very unhappy that we were waiting inside.
Lo Mei and other food that we ordered had barely any chicken in it, instead it had lots of onions and broccolis.
Long story short our first and last experience ever!

The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. They prepare Chinese cuisine. I ordered the hot and sour soup which was not thick. The steamed crab and pork dumplings were too soft, watery and lacked much filling. The shanghai spring rolls were too oily. The chicken, shrimp and pork in lobster sauce with a choice of noodle lacked lobster sauce. The chicken and black bean sauce had little sauce. The tofu family style was bland. The food was expensive and lacked flavor.
