Great family run restaurant in the area! I was actually recommended this place by a nearby local card shop owner. They let me know that they often order food from this restaurant. Plenty of indoor dining space and the restroom and interior were clean. They have a large assortment of various Asian dishes. I’ll definitely be back again if I’m ever in Brooklyn!

I like their sushi (lobster salad and spicy scallops) and usually order 3 rolls special. I also enjoyed their Yakki Cheese Over Rice. My wife likes their sautéed noodles and other Wok cooked food. Price used to be competitive but is a bit more expensive now, like everything else. I would recommend this place for their food but their atmosphere is not the best, probably due to small size of the restaurant. They changed their names or ownership 2-3 times in the last 3 years but happy they are still got their original menu.

I used to love this place so much because the quality, the taste, and the prices were all perfect. But now, the prices are so high and quantity does not match up with it. very disappointing. Loose and tiny pieces of sushi .

They took my money and kept telling me that the takeouts are almost ready. I ended up waiting there for 50 mins. Very bad service, don’t go there

Comforting Food, Peaceful Vibes, and Unforgettable Flavors
Longevous Joy holds a special place in my memory. I came here a few years ago — I think around 2022 — and even though the front dining area was closed off at the time (takeout only), the experience stuck with me in the best way. It’s a family-owned spot, and you can really feel that care in both the food and the atmosphere.
One dish I’ll never forget is the BBQ Pork Thai Basil Fried Rice — hands down one of the most unique and flavorful dishes I’ve had in NYC. The pork is tender, marinated in what tastes like honey, and perfectly balances sweet, savory, and spicy notes. The basil adds this fresh pop that brings everything together. It's unlike anything I’ve found since, and I still think about it years later.
They also serve sushi, and honestly, their eel and lobster rolls were surprisingly good. Not your average sushi spot either — lobster rolls at a Chinese restaurant? You wouldn’t expect it, but they really deliver. That kind of variety and quality is rare, especially in such a chill, unassuming spot.
Another favorite: their beef chow fun (or char kway teow) — a stir-fried noodle dish with veggies, and a rich, slightly smoky sauce that tastes like a blend of soy and something more complex — maybe an umami base or their own house mix. I asked about it back then, but they kept it a secret (fair enough 😄). Whatever it is, it’s absolutely delicious.
The location also adds to the experience. Even though it’s in NYC, it feels like you’ve stepped into a quieter, more relaxed town. It still has that New York vibe, but without the chaos — a perfect spot to take a breath and enjoy a great meal. Maybe it feels extra meaningful to me because I used to spend time here with someone special, but I also genuinely remember how good the food was.
Overall: Longevous Joy is a cozy, underrated gem with food that’s full of flavor, character, and heart. Whether you’re in the area or just want something different from the usual NYC spots — this place is worth a visit.

A good go-to when you don't know what you want for dinner. They have different options and the dishes are generally pretty good.

Wonderful place to go and eat. The place is clean and the food comes out fast, hot and delicious. They do have a huge menu to pick from, but from what I can say is that the food has tons of flavor. Great place for a quick bite to eat.

The Champion snacks I bought in the past were very heavy, but when I brought them home today, they were simply shrunk versions. The price was still more expensive than before, but the portions were smaller. I didn’t understand it at all! And the female waiter wearing glasses at the front desk has a very bad attitude👎. I am a customer, and her attitude is like I owe her money. Definitely won't be visiting again!
Japanese restaurant mainly for sushi and sashimi. HAVE NO SUSHI or SASHIMI! WTH. don’t come here
