The fermented dosa was a standout: delicate, crisp, and bursting with nuanced flavor. It struck a perfect balance of savory depth and tang, showcasing the chef’s masterful control over fermentation and texture. Then came the sea bream ssam: the fish was pristine, wrap it with vibrant greens with a sweet-tart bite that elevated every mouthful. Each component was meticulously prepared, harmonizing into something far greater than the sum of its parts.
Beyond the exceptional food, what truly set this experience apart was the phenomenal service. Both the chef and server extended hospitality that felt personal, warm, and deeply genuine. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and evident passion created an atmosphere where every guest felt valued and cared for. It's rare to find such a seamless blend of culinary excellence and heartfelt service. We will definitely be back.

Very cozy and warm setting. The food is fun - nonstandard menu with really good use of flavors. Very nice. And good wine.
Recommended dishes: Mushroom Uttapam, Lamb Kebab, Wild Mushroom Ragout
Service was tolerable, food was basic Indian food made from a supermarket masala mix by someone who only has eaten in Ohio and the music was too loud.

Everything was off about Lore for having a Michelin star. The food was over done and monotone, the wine was a bottle we can find across the city and was way marked up, the service was exceptionally slow. They took our feedback which I appreciated. They charged us prices I would expect to pay at some of the best Brooklyn restaurants I’ve been to. Not worth the time or money.

Such a great spot! The service and the menu are spectacular! We got prawns and a few different appetizers and everything was excellent. Specially the lamb kebabs. They pay such attention to each table and make you feel right at home. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

There are very few places which make you feel at home but at the same time have amazing food!!
The food was exceptional and out of the box! I loved the lamb and duck. The confit duck just had meat fall off the bone - so well cooked! ❤️
Chef Jay is fun to talk to and has amazing recommendations - he suggested the entire course and I loved everything we tried!
If you are in NY, you should come here - for the food, for the vibe, for the chat with the Chef!! 😃

Finally checked out Lore in Park Slope. I learned that Jay has an interest in horology, so I knew that food would be amazing and it was! First impression are just that, and we enjoyed the cozy and homey decor. Ganesh provided excellent service as well for the evening.

The best Indian restaurant in NYC! I’ve had some of the “best” and this was better by far! Nothing was too over-spiced. (Very easy on the stomach if anyone with IBS is reading) SO flavorful, each dish better than the next! Accommodating with dietary restrictions, Such friendly and attentive staff and Jay was incredible. Will definitely be back and if you have the chance, GO!
