They weren't welcoming. It felt like why are you here. We over ordered pizza based on their advice. Way too expensive for what you get. Not worth it. Food was good but I can order similar pizza and drinks for half the price.
Misleading... we came here on a Saturday and there was a sign for a lunch special that pulled us in. We sat ordered drinks and then they told us the special its mon-fri only. Why on earth is this sign outside?! This will lose them business more then pull business in. Gluten free pizza was good.
The owner ARTHUR is so rude!!!!!

On a Saturday afternoon it was about 90 degrees out. I went in to get two bottles of water. Guy handed me the Poland spring bottles ($1 at delis). He manually typed in $10.50 for two bottles of water. I know it’s DUMBO but the person just made up the price as he typed it in. Ofc I just walked out. But outrageous pricing. I can’t imagine how much a slice would be. $30 ?

I entered this place blinded by hunger with my friends after being clueless in dumbo. I will say with confidence this place is great! I the tomato sauce in the rigatoni was very tasty and all the pasta’s were cooked al dente or at least to our liking. I’ll point out that the price is above the average price I’ve paid for a dish like this, but it didn’t hurt because the dish tasted better than I expected anyway.
I would happily go here again.

What a horrible service we got slices not a full pizza and we told them for to go and once we got it
We thought to eat outside as whole restaurant was empty not a single customer so we were sitting outside and the server/owner saw us in camera and told us to leave as we just order slices and not the full pizza
Come on seriously full restaurant was empty 😕

I saw advertisements near the street so I figured I’d check it out with my fiance. Upon walking up to the restaurant, a server was standing in front asking about if we were here to eat lunch or not. Given that it’s a pizza place, yes!
Anyway, I didn’t like how disrespectful and confrontational he was with us. So we just decided to leave because we didn’t want to deal with this business.
After reading the reviews, I don’t think this business will stay open for long.

Rude server. Looks & feels like This place is run by amateurs. Went to order a pizza but the gray haired/beard server didnt let me in and said its next door. No sign on how to order pizza or what so ever. Love & Dough Pizzeria and Tommy's Bar & Burger ran by the same amateur rude people who doesn't have a bit of hospitality yet are doing business in the hospitality industry. Shame. No one deserves to be treated as such for the mediocre quality pizza and service. No wonder why you have such low ratings on both stores.

I ordered a slice of pizza because I wasn’t that hungry and I paid for it and I paid tip after that i nicely asked to use the restroom and she said it for dinning in customers only!!! So to go customers aren’t considered as customers?! I know I didn’t buy much but still I was a customer and I didn’t ask for much! I have worked in restaurants and I knew that wasn’t okay but i wrote this review for you to pay attention and to be more nice!

Oof - the most flavorless and cold pizza. Came in, asked for a slice they only had margarita or pepperoni, ordered the marg and there’s literally zero flavor and it was super dry which I imagine is the result of the pies sitting in the glass, cold instead of under light and heat.

Do not even try to eat here. Terrible pizza, rude staff, and the manager owner is the most rude human. Please don’t waste your money here there’s much better slices in the neighborhood. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Love and Dough Pizza was so frustrating, I felt compelled to share.
First, the pizza I ordered was supposed to come with basil. Not only was it missing, but when I asked about it, the staff casually said, “We don’t have any.” No apology, no adjustment to the price—just a shrug.
Then I asked for a bit of Parmesan cheese and was told they’d need to take my entire pizza back to the kitchen just to add it. Seriously? At that point, I told them to forget it. It felt like I was being punished for asking for something simple.
To top it off, the pizza was supposed to include eggplant, but what I got was barely a trace—tiny, microscopic bits that made me wonder if they ran out and just hoped I wouldn’t notice.
There was absolutely no love in the food or the service. When you name your place Love and Dough, customers expect a little more care. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience from start to finish.

#1 Service is ehh , sat down was told we can’t share a pizza that’s we had to order two. Asked for ice due to the fact it’s 95 degrees out side and water was lukewarm. She said she didn’t have any but then goes next door to the restaurant over to get some. Plus before asking we ordered cocktails, at this point I was going to cancel the cocktails because I would like mine COLD not hot !
#2 her customer service sucks , I watched her turned down a customer for something so simple meanwhile the restaurant was completely empty.
#3 Before I can finish up my food she brings the bill , didn’t ask if i wanted anything else . My friends were going to join but I told them never mind due to the service and rules this place had was ridiculous. I don’t know how This place is still in business. This restaurant has so much potential it’s sad

We went in as a group of 4, looking to order 2 pizzas (which were around $25 each) and a drink. The waiter told us that they were personal sized, which we were ok with as we were not that hungry. The waiter then insisted that we buy another pizza or else he could not put our order in. We would’ve understood had it been busy, but the restaurant was empty. We promptly left.

I don’t know if this place is meant to be a tourist trap. But it’s a ridiculous.
1. They do not let you order a large pizza if you are dining in.
2. 8 oz of sparkling water js $8. Sorry, $7.95. That’s the small little bottle.
3. They do not have ice.
4. The pizza plates are slightly bigger than my hand. If you ask for a larger plate, it’s a thing.
I’m not sure if the wait staff has enough autonomy to overcome the poor business practices.
