“Too homemade”, the sazerac $15 drink is a 1/2 shot of old crow whiskey with a lemon rind in a 90% empty glass: I would bet anything on that. Came here yesterday; very snug spot so this is more of a quick, sit down and eat place. I bought the red beans, some fried shrimp to eat inside and then fried oysters and gumbo to take home. Definitely recommend the gumbo; it’s the most authentic gumbo that I’ve had in NYC. Some of these restaurants put tomatoes in it; which is insane. The fried shrimp/oysters were also very good but a tad bit salty. The remoulade sauce is amazing. Will be back if I’m in the neighborhood
I plan on going back next week
