This place was amazing in every way! Starting with the service. There was one bartender and one server and they both were so friendly to everyone that walked in. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. I grew up going to New Orleans every Summer and that was easily top 3 best po’ boy I’ve ever had. And then there was the music! Whoever was on the playlist tonight deserves a raise. 10/10!

I plan on going back next week
“Too homemade”, the sazerac $15 drink is a 1/2 shot of old crow whiskey with a lemon rind in a 90% empty glass: I would bet anything on that. The only high top table has the elbow room and ambiance of my impossibly small kitchen, the Etoufee and gumbo are the same food on different plates for different prices. We went to the central Brooklyn library afterward and they were selling beer there until 2am in the young adult section. The man who cuts coconuts with a machete out...
Came here yesterday; very snug spot so this is more of a quick, sit down and eat place. I bought the red beans, some fried shrimp to eat inside and then fried oysters and gumbo to take home. Definitely recommend the gumbo; it’s the most authentic gumbo that I’ve had in NYC. Some of these restaurants put tomatoes in it; which is insane. The fried shrimp/oysters were also very good but a tad bit salty. The remoulade sauce is amazing. Will be back if I’m in the neighborhood
