The crust has this paper thin texture but the charred edges have this nice hint of sour that complements the rich luscious and tangy tomato sauce and the cheese ties it all together. Really really phenomenal pizza. The stuff of legends. I also got the fennel salad in opposition to my friend’s pleas to not “waste” money on a salad 😒. Was 100% the right move. Will be coming back very soon.

Only once in a blue moon can you find a place as solitary in its greatness as Lucky Charlie. Competing with them isn’t hard because they source the most incredible Japanese A5 Wagyu or have the most celebrities walking through their doors. What allows them to stand out like no other restaurant is their ability to make you feel like you at home. The unique experience to be able to walk into a restaurant you’ve never been to before, and have things feel familiar.

In a city/world of lost souls and those earning for community, Lucky Charlie provides refuge. Immediately upon entering the aura of the restaurant, you are greeted by a host that actually cares whether or not he can accommodate your party. A drink list that speaks to both the average consumer, and their closely related yet slightly unrecognizable members of the service industry. The pizza itself a slice of what hundreds of years and thousands of pies fired like pottery in a kiln might taste like. Does time have a flavor? Does authenticity have a smell? Does recognition have a pattern? To most people it’s highly subjective l. At Lucky Charlie it’s singular.

Saw an article about this place and happened to be with my family and searching for something to eat. The situation felt serendipitous and we decided to venture on over... Thank goodness we did! The pizza is absolutely delicious and unique at that. I'm always looking for varieties when it comes to pizza in New York and this place definitely delivers a great take on the Gotham addiction. It doesn't feel like the neighborhood pizzeria, it's more like a sit-down restaurant and maybe even a place to have a drink or two and vibe, but nonetheless the food was great and I recommend trying it. I will definitely be returning here!

This place is amazing! The pizza is to die for, and everything on the menu is incredible. The management is impressive, and the bartender mixes the most amazing drinks. You must try the Caesar salad! The treatment you receive is like being one of their own, almost like a family member. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

What an experience! What a gem in Bushwick! The service was so welcoming and helpful - the restaurant was packed, absolutely as busy as it could be and yet staff found time to drop by, help us make decisions, and the fantastic host Kyle even showed us the pizza oven! The food was exceptional - the pizza was ultra thin, the red sauce delicious, and the baked phenomenal. We loved the focaccia in the bread service as well as the hummus and pepper oil. The gem Caesar was also a major highlight - inventive, interesting, and yet nostalgic and classic. I’ll have to come back very soon, and I am so happy to have tried this place!

Maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had. Service is a little… we’ll say “on edge” but worth it for that sauce, that crust, that cheese 🤤

We had a really great unique and delicious time. Grab a bar seat and order a pie and some drinks and enjoy the extremely lively atmosphere. The bartenders (one may be the owner) are great. And the rest of the staff is too. Great pizza and very cool oven and story behind this place!

This restaurant is incredible! Hands down probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. Cocktails are also inspired. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting the owner, Nino, who made me feel extremely welcome. Love this place. Went twice during my visit to NYC, and next time I’m in town I will definitely come back. Thank you for a memorable experience and making me feel at home!

I'm going to keep it short and sweet..... the pizza is better than good, but it's not unique.. the neighborhood could definitely use the addition of this kind of authentic taste... the cheese board was good also very fresh, they got the meats baby...

but the atmosphere is very rushed. That cozy atmosphere the critics are referring to may be a weakness with the demand being so high.. I mean, they're nice about it but hurry up, they want that money that's waiting too . anyway you may wanna take yours to go until the hype dies down.....

good luck.... I'll be back.... but to go.

I read that they’ve got the first pizza oven in the borough, and honestly, it shows, the pizza is amazing. You can even do half-and-half pies, which is perfect. We had a Margherita and pepperoni combo, and it was delicious, crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of char.

The space is small with limited seating, so expect a wait, especially during peak hours. But here’s the move: put your name down and head across the street to Boobie Trap, a fun dive bar, while you wait. The staff at Lucky Charlie are friendly and keep things moving once you’re in.

All in all, it’s a solid spot, great pizza, good drinks, good service, and real neighborhood charm. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Had a fantastic experience at Lucky Charlie this weekend - everyone from the host to the server to the bartender was so friendly and fun. Pizza was outstanding and we had a great fennel salad too. The cocktail menu was so fun and I am obsessed with their cola syrup used in the espresso martini. Can't wait to come back!
