So last night my babes told me he wanted some Jamaican food for dinner and he wanted me to go to the restaurant around the corner from my house which is Lucky's Jamaican restaurant he told me he wanted stew chicken so that's what I bought for him and I also ordered myself a curry goat and some sweet chili shrimp. I was so disgusted at the fact that every time my man took a bite of his food he was spitting it out. So I said babe what's wrong with the food he said "there's no f***ing meat in it! Every time I take a bite all I'm getting is bone and Gristle!" You don't know how infuriated I was knowing that I paid $11 for a plate of bones and Gristle! Are you serving people or are you serving dogs? The curry goat didn't taste very good either the only thing I enjoyed was the sweet chili shrimp! I've eaten here before and I never had a complaint about the food until now but they will never get my money again that was $21 down the drain!!!

This spot is definitely a Diamond in the Rough, and I loved it. The food was delicious, especially the oxtails. I hope they don't try to expand or relocate. These are the small, amazing restaurants I selfishly pray stay hidden gems.

The food is OK I buy food there more than once this particular time I stop by to get some food I get a piece of steel wood Brillo pad in my plate which is very unusual. I don’t think that was a mistake. I’m not going back there.

I was in the area and I did a search for Caribbean food. I clicked on this place and saw that they had a 4.6/5. I clicked on the review section and the first one that I read said that’s it’s the best she’s ever had in NY, then went on to specify that the Oxtail specifically is what she was raving about. Turns out that’s exactly what I was in the mood for. I went there around 1:30pm on a Wednesday, it wasn’t crowded at all. Nothing fancy inside or out but it’s a tad about a hole in the wall. I ordered the Oxtail with white rice and I ordered their in-house fruit punch. It was already bottled and sealed. A nice older lady served me and she was very polite. The other two men that worked alongside her seemed very nice as well. The Oxtail was really good but it’s not the best that I had in NY. However I do feel comfortable recommending it to people. Parking is a pain, because there is some sort of collision repair nearby, and they have all their cars taking up the parking spots

Excellent oxtail combo with rice and peas, plantains, and cabbage. Meat is super tender and juicy and the sauce is flavorful.

The best Jamaican food I’ve had in NY!!!! Best oxtail to be specific! Meat is so tender and falls off the bone. Super saucy and the rice and beans are perfection. The cabbage is shredded nicely and very well-seasoned too. I’d also recommend the beef patty, chicken patty, dumplings, Mac and cheese and sorrel! Amazing quality Forma great price. Only going to Lucky’s from now now!!

Ordered the medium jerk chicken with veggies. The jerk chicken was extremely flavorful and went great with the rice and stewed veggies. Getting a bite with the sauce soaked rice and chicken was amazing. Some of the chicken was a bit tough but the dark meat pieces were nice and tender

Food nice. My go-to spot when I'm at work. I normally get ackee and saltfish with dumplings, yam and bananas , stew chicken rice and peas , and don't forget to try their fried chicken. My coworkers get their cornmeal porridge religiously.

This place seems to be going down hill. The food is definitely sub par. Had the jerk pork and the oxtail. The jersey pork was all pork skin and chewy pork and the oxtail flavor is bad. It taste like tomato paste. Yuck! Oh I forgot the mention the sweet Chilli wings. They tasted hard and stale under the sauce. The food really isn't good but they make a good beef patty.
