Lucy's Vietnamese - Bushwick

Very small location with only 2 seats inside and some boards by a tree outside. The only thing I’ve had from this and the BedStuy location is the Brisket pho which is yummy. The night I came was just all over the place between where you order, pick up, and delivery drivers all standing in the same spot. I only recommend it for delivery.

The broth tastes different than traditional pho. The noodles are breaking apart (see photo). This smells like someone who has never had pho makes a restaurant to try to make it better. Maybe catered for people who actually hate pho and want it to taste better. Cause what the hell is this broth made out of? Its green?? No taste whatsoever. The only thing good was the meat. Even the banh mi doesn’t taste like traditional banh mi. Spent $70 and want a refund but its a delivery order so i doubt it

the lemongrass chiken while not authentic...really hits that spot! id reccomend on a vermicelli bowl, xtra mushrooms.. or maybe just a side order. But you will definetely end up getting two. stop by and get coffe at the vetenarian next door while youre there.

Not authentic Vietnamese and overpriced for the quality food menu needs a rework plus the place is a chain don’t give them ur money

We ordered 6 items, only 5 arrived. Two items were vermicelli bowls. They arrived without any vermicelli. So thanks for keeping my carb count down Lucy's, I guess. Worse, when I called the Bushwick store the person I spoke to suggested I may have ordered from a different location. When I asked which location I was speaking to, it took 4 attempts before he eventually answered and he said it was Williamsburg, making up some story that the phone numbers of Bushwick and Williamsburg were back to front on Google. They aren't. Getting the runaround like this was even more annoying the getting the wrong order.

This place is not traditional. There is no beef in the soup only mushroom. Lemongrass chicken should be grilled not boiled. Also not reheated again the next day after the chicken has sat in the warmer the whole day the previous day. It becomes shredded chicken if you like dry chicken this is the place for you. Vegan chicken is bought from Lilys Vegan Pantry. Go there and buy it cheaper. It is on Hester street in Manhattan. The brisket is not even trimmed before cooking. They do the lazy way.

Definitely not enough meat for the price. Just got the smoked brisket pho. Meat is at the top and by the time you get to the bottom the meat is all gone and it’s just all noodles.

Fyi this place is not celiac friendly - thought the vermicelli noodles would be rice vermicelli like at most other vietnamese restaurants but they must have been wheat noodles or cross contaminated, as i got super gluten sick (inflamed, bloated, in pain) after eating.Also the chicken was boiled, dark grey , no seasoning and and tasted gamey, unfresh, + overall terrible
