I used to love this place. And I was very happy when Halal took it over. However, at this point I’m tasting the quality of meat going downhill.. way down to the point of manure flavor with acid reflux. I’m sorry guys, I hope you get a different meat purveyor. I’ll wait a year and circle back around.

I used to be a big fan of Lula Bird, but my recent visit was a letdown. I ordered the chicken bowl and it was filled with skin, cartilage, and other inedible bits—barely any quality meat. The whole bowl felt clumsy and thrown together, not at all appetizing. It’s disappointing to see a place that once had such great food fall off like this. Hope they turn it around, but I won’t be rushing back.

The food is good, but I dislike how they have you standing outside the door … It’s one thing not to have any place to sit, but it’s another thing to have customers standing outside of a storefront.. customer service is non existent.

I'm from the neighborhood and have been coming here for a while. Tell me why I go to get this $16 sandwhich and they put the smallest amount of chicken on this sandwich. Shame on them for reducing the portions, if you're serving a chicken sandwhich, with sauce and nothing else, the least you can do is put some chicken on it. Gone completely downhill with the portions, disgraceful.
Probably the best cornbread I’ve ever had in my life!!! The chicken is exceptionally good too & they have great healthy options :)

Have only ordered from here online via Ubereats but very much enjoyed the combo #1 and how they have different sides for each day of the week. One of the restaurant workers, Paco, even kindly called me to double check if I meant to order the BOGO free deal for my item, which I did, but unfortunately there was a glitch on Uber that did not activate the deal for me. I appreciated him reaching out and ensuring that I could still get the deal. Would certainly order from here again, given the great quality of food and attentive service, even without dine-in. Thanks Paco!

I tried Luna bird for the 1st time today as they had a bogo sale for the combo#1 (quarter chicken, 2 sides, dipping sauce and cornbread). The sides I chose were Luna rice and the kale and black bean stew. The chicken was nicely seasoned but not fall off the bone. The kale and beans were excellent. Rice tasty but simple so would need to be eaten with something saucy like the kale and beans. Cornbread was terrific, super moist and not overly sweet. I also got the green sauce and ordered a side of harissa sauce for the chicken. Green sauce also on point. Overall excellent place for a healthier version of comfort food. Definitely trying more of the menu.

Ordered from this place last week and I thought everything was great except didn’t provide utensils, delivery time was long and the delivery person placed my food by my door without attempting to hand it to me. I ordered the half chicken and short ribs. The potatoes were crispy, Mac and cheese was tasty and the greens were vinegary tasting like I prefer.
Fast forward to today, I ordered the half chicken, potatoes and greens. Chicken tasted undercooked, skin not crispy and the greens didn’t taste the same no vinegar. Again no utensils so they just don’t provide and the delivery time was extremely long. Overall, they aren’t consistent.
