One of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Amazing drinks, great food, fantastic service, incredible music every night. It’s really tight quarters and the chairs are not comfortable, but that’s my only complaint!

An incredible spot that reminds one of a New York (Brooklyn) that is hard to find these days. Laid back, incredible atmosphere, great people, wonderful music, a brilliant cocktail menu and surprisingly excellent food for such a small kitchen. And no reservations!

COME EARLY FOR THEIR MUSIC NIGHTS! It is such a cozy and small place that can only accommodate so many people. First set starts at 9, but most definitely arrive by 8:15! Second set is around 10:30pm, so most definitely come by 9:30 as they sit people usually at 10pm!
They do not have a cover fee, so please get yourself some hummus / foccacia or drinks! Be sure to also bring some cash to tip performers to keep the music culture alive and show your support.
I never got her name, but this lovely queen w/ a blue bandana that was the hostess for that night told my boyfriend and I to sit under the awning since we couldn’t make it in time for the first set. Thank you!
Awesome date night spot.

Lovely cosy bar with a great cocktail menu (liquid love was delicious). We caught the start of the music which was fantastic - wish we could've stayed longer!
One of the best live music + bars in the whole city, great cocktails.

Before you read on, I have been inspired by this bar to tell you that you just read this review in compete silence so that you can let the review wash over you and you can enter a higher form of your true self. Lunatico encourages silence during the performances which I gladly helped to enforce by giving a friendly but stern glare to anyone who dared make an utterance.
What can I say... I entered this bar as a regular eel and came out as an electric eel. As a tourist to New York with an 18 month old I was about as fried as a possum hanging on a wire (this is a good time to tell you I'm Australian). But Lunatico... You brought me back to life.
The two times I went here I was rejuvenated and refreshed and felt like my spirit was cleansed of the day to day harsh reality of being on a subway for 50 mins with a toddler. Side note, I'm so sorry to the two young ladies on the subway that she demanded milk from.
Lunatico reminds me of the days of olde where you could go to a bar and stare at the guy who has his eyes closed clearly lost in the music or possibly just asleep, or even possibly got something in his eye from some bizzare cooking incident at pre drinks and therefore must keep his eyes closed at all times for the evening... What I'm trying to say is this is a bar where you can be there instead of on your phone.
The staff are so cool that I dared not make eye contact with them because I didn't want to appear dominating. But when they ducked down and smiled and patted me on the head I felt reassured and like I was back in the womb.
Before I leave you I must let you know that I tried a lovely non alcoholic orange beverage that really knocked my socks off. I tried to find them again upon leaving the venue but alas they were goneth.
Lunatico, oh how I loved thee and wish thou existed in Melbourneth. Thou has my heart now and forever. When I return to my beloved home town I will shout the name Lunatico from thy rooftops for all Melbournites to hear.
Be still my beating heart.
Lovely place

Came in a group and checked in many times to make sure it was something they could accommodate for. The hostess told us to stay and wait and order drinks and they would let us in. Then proceeded to question some of our group members as if they just showed up. Once they finally let us in an hour later, we were put by the bathroom to stand while there were empty seats. They continued to watch and police us all night and also pressured us to keep ordering drinks even though we spent well over $100. The hostess and bartender talked about us in front of our faces making a scene in the restaurant embarrassing us. Horrible judgy pretentious service and we will not be coming back. Also didn’t ID and served underage people that we talked to in line.
after waiting over an outside and being met
with extreme attitude, they put our party in the “standing area” which was a corner by the bathrooms with no view of the band. we were met with more attitude, yelled at when we tried to sit, and told “we expect you to order throughout the show” after already spending over $115 on drinks. absolutely ridiculous

This is a neighborhood favorite. diverse crowd, positive vibes, coming together to listen to music. The food is uneventful. I ordered sea bass frittata and it was more of a snack than a meal. I would suggest eating elsewhere beforehand. Otherwise drinks were sufficient. Venue is small and intimate. Staff is very friendly and communicative.

The focaccia was amazing with honey, grapes and cheeses spread, that didn’t make the pic list and it didn’t last long enough to, as hunger took over lol. Also they have a spicy butter bean dish that is tasty. The ambiance is very chill, they have live music, which I didn’t get to enjoy but it’s a nice vibey location in Brooklyn. I would recommend for a date for sure. Service was okay. One guy was really nice and looked out for us. Overall great experience
