This is my first time ever writing a Google review this place wasn’t the best to be honest. The boba was chunky and a weird texture and they were chunks of strawberry flavored powder in my drink.
I don’t know what it was, but it did not taste like Boba.
Delicious icecream, friendly stuff.
Ice cream is good. Fried twinkie is yummy
Be careful. You need to watch what they charge.
Caught the Cashier Trying to Overcharge Me
Went in for a simple ice cream order and the cashier tried to overcharge me on the spot. When I questioned the price, things got tense fast. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one—people nearby said this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
They’ve clearly done this before and are used to getting away with it unless someone speaks up. Absolutely unacceptable.
Watch your receipt and speak up, or better yet, just avoid this place. Sketchy behavior like this shouldn’t be tolerated anywhere, especially not at a place serving kids.
We had a very bad experience at this shop near Coney Island. The store was extremely hot and poorly lit. We ordered 2 single scoop cups, but one came with 3 scoops and we were charged nearly $10 — far more than expected.
When we questioned it, the man behind the counter (likely the owner) said one was for a child and the other for a “big man,” so it needed 3 scoops. We never ordered that. He smirked, ignored us, and charged the card without consent. As we were leaving, he muttered something that sounded like a racial slur, which was extremely offensive.
When we asked about ingredients due to my child’s egg allergy, he gave a vague response like “it’s just cream” without checking. No allergy signage was visible.
We felt scammed, ignored, and disrespected. Completely unacceptable behavior in a family-friendly tourist area.
Good ice cream but expensive
Got the pina colada smoothie from here and was very disappointed as it was not even a real smoothie. It contained no real fruit and had the texture of milk, mostly because it was just milk mixed with some sweeteners. Tasted like milk too. Couldn't drink more then a quarter of it. It ruined my day and the rest of my week and the rest of the month at the cost of 8 dollars. Very sad.
Fair experience. Cotton candy is good
Lunatics Ice Cream on Coney Island is a sweet haven for dessert lovers. With a playful neon sign, it offers a variety of treats like ice cream, funnel cakes, candy apples, and cotton candy. The menu features classics like Hershey’s ice cream flavors and fried Oreos, perfect for a boardwalk indulgence. The vibrant atmosphere and affordable prices make it a delightful stop for families and friends!

Typical Carnival treats from Ice Cream to Fried Oreos. Right across from the subway and a couple of blocks off the beach, it’s conveniently located.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that it’s a hole in the wall - the funnel cake here is awesome! I ate it too fast to take a photo but it’s huge, freshly made, with lots of powdered sugar. Avoid the place down the block past Nathan’s that sells seafood - they just reheat their funnel cakes and they’re tiny
