Step right up, folks! Prepare for a rollercoaster ride of flavor at Lunatics Ice Cream, nestled in the heart of Coney Island. As a self-proclaimed ice cream aficionado, I've journeyed far and wide in search of the perfect scoop. Let me tell you, Lunatics is not just an ice cream parlor; it's a transcendental experience that catapults your taste buds into a state of pure euphoria. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm embrace of nostalgia, reminiscent of the bygone era of boardwalk bliss. The decor is a whimsical fusion of neon lights, vibrant colors, and a sprinkle of old-school charm that's as inviting as a summer breeze off the Atlantic. But let's talk about the pièce de résistance: the funnel cake. Oh, sweet mercy, where do I begin? Picture this: a golden, crispy cloud of fried perfection, dusted with powdered sugar that sparkles like the stars on a Coney Island night. And nestled atop this heavenly creation? A generous mound of Lunatics' signature ice cream, swirling with flavors so divine, they could make a grown New Yorker weep tears of joy. Now, let's talk about the maestro behind this confectionary symphony: the owner. Not just a purveyor of frozen delights, but a bona fide magician of merriment. Their passion for crafting the perfect treat is matched only by their infectious enthusiasm for spreading joy to every patron who crosses their threshold. From the moment you meet them, you'll feel like family, welcomed with open arms and a smile as bright as the Coney Island sun. In conclusion, dear fellow dessert enthusiasts, if you find yourself wandering the iconic boardwalk of Coney Island, do yourself a favor and make a pitstop at Lunatics Ice Cream. Whether you're craving a nostalgic trip down memory lane or simply seeking solace in a cone of creamy bliss, this charming establishment will not disappoint. Just be warned: once you've tasted the magic of Lunatics, you may find yourself coming back for seconds, thirds, and a lifetime of sweet memories.

This is hands down the best ice cream parlor on Coney Island. Don't even bother going anywhere else. The ice cream here is of high quality and the staff are a delight. This is one of the highlights of Coney Island.

Fantastic funnel cake! It was large enough for me and my husband to share and we will be coming back. They also accept credit cards for purchases over $4.

I keep coming back here for that Pistachio-Banana soft serve. It’s truly divine. Seriously, don’t pass up the opportunity to try it! Perfect thing on a hot summer’s day.

Scummy, rude staff. Even for boardwalk type food this is not good. Proces are way too high.

first of all, their boba is disgusting. it doesn’t even taste like how it would from an authentic boba tea shop, it has this weird after taste when you bite into it. like is it expired or what? lol. also, they definitely scammed my friend and charged her $90 dollars when nothing in there can dare TOUCH $90 worth. they need to reevaluate themselves and focus on what they doing cuz how you charge her that much when what she ordered shouldn’t even be passing $25 max?

Nice little ice cream/milkshake place to stop into instead of Dunkin’ Donuts. They had so many flavors and I got a birthday cake flavor milkshake. No whip cream but the shake was good, large and only $8.Did I mean toon they also have boba and cool rainbow lollipops?
