Where has M Shanghai been my whole NYC life?! Hands down the best dumplings in Williamsburg. High-quality and fresh ingredients, made with love. The owner’s friendliness was an added bonus — her happy energy is contagious.

First time here today and it was an absolute treat. Service is very good, awesome environment and nice big menu. My favorite was the hot and sour soup, so many crunchy veggies and the perfect amount of spice. Second favorite were the spring rolls, a little pricey but youll definitely want more than two. The Soup Dumplings are also super good, the broth is on the thicker side but I know many people enjoy that over a thinner broth. All around amazing meal.

This restaurant was an excellent surprise. The waitress is the nicest woman I've ever met, the food is excellent and the jasmine tea perfectly brewed. I recommand the House Fried Rice.If I ever come back to NYC, I'll make the extra miles to eat here again !

i have been eating here for about 15 years. hate to bag on them, but the quality of the food has really declined. had multiple hairs in my food and dumplings were missing the sauce. prices have increased dramatically, rice with each dish is 3 bucks extra now (used to be free) and delivery prices are now adjusted upwards about 15-20% from the in person menu - and that is before the service fee of about 10%. starting to feel like a airline with all of the bonus fees adding onto the bill. unfortunately won’t be back again until i hear things turn around.

I got a delivery order from M Shanghai. The food I order were 59. Shredded Beef with Chili pepper $20.25 and 37. Shanghai-Style Lo Main with pork $14.75For Chinese restaurant and the quality of food compare to the price I feel it is a bit too high. The taste of food is okay I like shredded beef but not crazy about Lo-main.Because of the price point plus the taste, I'm not sure if I want to order from this place again.

Hands down favorite spot of its kind in the area. Soup dumplings are amazing. The tic tac toe chicken and amazing beef are delicious. Never had anything but a great experience. Frequent this place like at least once a week.
Born and raised in Shanghai, have to say this is a bit different from the authentic Shanghai Xiaolongbao. Not bad, but not great. I might be harsh as I grow up eating the food. The sauce is wrong. You k oh dip Xiaolongbao into simple vinegar, no soy sauce no sesame oil pls. Tried some beef stir fry, it is a bit too salty. Fried green veggie with garlic is good though.

This place has pretty decent reviews so I was expecting pretty decent food unfortunately that wasn’t the case. They literally sent me tortillas as scallion pancakes (pictured cause my mind was blown?) the crispy duck wasn’t good and the portion was small. The soup dumplings were meh, the only okay thing was the fried rice. I will not be ordering again and you should save your money!

Placed a take out order and the woman on the phone was so kind and helpful. Great client service. I so often feel rushed when ordering take out on the phone, but the lady was more than willing to answer all of my questions and was very accommodating to some special orders we had to make.
