Always been interested to try this place because I always walk past it on my morning commute. I got the jerk Mac with chicken. The outer part of it felt hot but once I took a piece from the middle it was cold. I live a 6 minute walk away. I got the large portion but the cook time should be suited to make sure it’s cook through for the price charged for it.

I really wanted to like this place, but after multiple visits, I just can’t justify giving it a higher rating. I've been here 3 times, and each time I’ve been disappointed in one way or another. The first issue was when I was charged more than the menu price for a breakfast sandwich — and this was even after they were out of an ingredient! I ended up paying $13 for bacon bits and a slice of cheese on a croissant, which was absurd for what I got.
Today, the salmon bites looked like they were rushed out and honestly resembled dog food more than anything edible.
The menu is boring and lacks variety — it’s basically mac and cheese with a few meat options, but there’s not a vegetable in sight. The mac and cheese itself is basic, and honestly, it’s shocking that it’s the main attraction of the place when it doesn’t even stand out.
The space is beautiful, but the effort they put into renovations clearly didn’t extend to improving the food or the menu. The counter staff were friendly, but professionalism was definitely lacking. They really need to step it up if they want to last long-term, especially with so many better options nearby.

I recommend this! At first I thought it was a bit pricey. But honestly now I feel confident in saying it's worth it . For me a small was a good meal. Filled me up enough to say I did enjoy my meals here. Wish they had seating tho 😕 still would like that.

I would really like to give this place a higher rating. But there is a disconnect between the prices and the food, from what I have experienced. I have been here 3 times. Even though they were out of some ingredients for the breakfast sandwich, I was charged more than the price even listed on the menu!! I was fine with them being out of that, as I didn’t want the ingredient that was missing anyway, however, I ended up paying $13 for bacon bits and a slice of cheese on a croissant. The staff are very friendly, but maybe this place is better if you are ordering catered food and they’re cooking in large quantities, etc.

Went to The Mac Shack with my friend for the 1st time yesterday. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and a space to work on my new website. WOW, did we luck out finding this place! Food was amazing, prices were extremely affordable and the service was amazing. And dont let the name fool you. While they do have amazing mac&cheese, they have plenty of other options on the menu. I got the chicken & rice lunch special while my friend got the wings and fries. We also split some mac&cheese / oxtail bites. Everything was amazingly tasty! They also make great smoothies and juices. This place is a GEM. Go there and enjoy the experience. You will not be disappointed!
