Delicious pasta either great ambience in the backyard. We visited last year in the fall and I got demolished by mosquitoes. We got 2 pastas and a burrata. One pasta was delicious and the other felt a bit bland. Overall cute date place if you are craving Italian and it's close by, but not a place to go out of your way to visit from another area. It's good for the location and great addition to local addition to bedstuy Overall food was good but felt a bit overpriced. I think it's mostly because of location and lack of competition in the area. Burrata wasn't worth 17 dollars. And everything felt 1-3 dollars too expensive. Service was good and ambience was great. Not sure if I'll be visiting again but maybe if friends really want pasta.

For the price it was quite a small portion, but that is almost expected at a pasta restaurant. I had the Oxtail Ragu and it wasn’t at all as flavourful as one would hope. The service was very off and some of the staff seemed quite distant and displeased with us for no particupar reason. The restaurant is quite beautiful inside but we were seated alone in a sort of make-shift tent in the garden of the restaurant, heat was not a problem but just the atmosphere of the dining was very weird.

I was lucky to be there in an evening when the wild boar Genovese was on the menu. The staff paired it with a fresh Italian white wine. I have not eaten a more delicious Genovese anywhere! Highly recommended!

Cute little Italian spot! It got pretty busy while we were there but it was really easy to get a reservation for a weeknight. Service was quick and our pastas came out really fast! Got the oxtail pappardelle, gnocchi, and olive oil cake. Would recommend them all but portions are on the smaller side.

Went here on a weekend night out, the atmosphere was pretty good, cozy, sociable, the crowd definitely felt young like 20s-30s. Appetizers were okay. The radicchio salad was a bit bitter but the chicken liver crostini was pretty good. We got the oxtail ragu & bucatini amatriciana which were both excellent. Drinks were strong, but not overwhelming. Overall it was a nice experience.

The best little Italian spot in bed stuy. The food is soooooo delicious. The staff and owner are super fun to talk to. It's super cozy inside and on the patio out back. And worth every penny.Favorites: oxtail ragu (of course), brown butter sage gnocchi, burrata, and tiramisu♥️.I've been coming here with my fam since it opened and it never disappoints.

Pasta is fresh and DELICIOUS. Get a seat in the backyard when its nice out. The ambiance is better out there than inside.

Im so happy we stumbled across this place! Its a pretty small venue but less known so each time we have walked in without having to wait to be seated. The staff has always been a delight and even provided us with complimentary drinks and dessert which surprised us. We are obsessed with their seafood appetizer, its our favorite thing on the menu. Its a variety of fried seafood with a space dipping oil. It has not disappointed! We have also ordered the oxtail Pappardelle, a few of their specials and their rigatoni. I have liked each of their dishes but their appetizers are really a highlight for me!

Macosa is the BEST date night spot in Bed-Stuy! Everything we ordered was absolutely perfect and the pasta was fresher than the prince of Bel-Air.Out of everything, what I recommend the most are the marinated Castelvetrano olives and the ox tail pappardelle.I can’t wait to go back and try more!

This place can get packed but service has always been solid. The oxtail ragu and arancini are great and they have a nice wine selection.

We were excited to try this restaurant because it's highly rated and were sadly underwhelmed. It might've been an off night...so much potential! We snagged reservations for 630pm on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. We started off with burrata and sourdough, which was the absolute highlight. The burrata was CREAAAAMYYY and the bread was buttery and grilled, I literally could not get enough of the bread and was delighted when they gave us a refill. We ordered 3 pasta dishes: Bucatini - undercooked pasta and we could not flag down our server because they were so busy. 30 mins later we finally caught someone's attention and they were able to remove it from our bill. Sad because the sauce was really good. Gnocchi - not fluffy or pillowy. Tasted like frozen gnocchi from the grocery store. Pappardelle oxtail - this was a decent dish and all 3 of us shared it since it was the best pasta dish. Overall, a mediocre experience. There were only one or two servers working the ENTIRE restaurant, so it was understandable why service wasn't on point.

Frankly, I almost didn't want to leave a review, just for fear of this place becoming overcrowded. But that's selfish, and this food is too absurdly good to not be shared with all. Pasta is my favorite food, and to date, I haven't been to a place in NYC that does it better than Macosa. Not to mention, the same staff has been there forever, a great sign...and the vibe just feels really warm and friendly. This is my spot for out-of-town guests, and just when I can't hold back the craving any longer. Macosa is the best. Good beyond words. And long live the penne with Genovese.
