I ordered yams and string beans were sent instead. The receipt clearly says fish with yams and collard greens. The smothered chicken is cold and one piece still had uncleaned feathers on it. The fried whiting was cold , dry and rock hard from being leftover and microwaved. The mac n cheese was also hard and discolored. How can you send food out like this and expect to keep customers? You p obviously use old leftover chicken for your "smothered" and do not clean your chicken, not even small feathers! You just lost a customer. Dont waste your money ordering from here, the food is inedible. Unacceptable!!

Today is my 1st and last time ordering from this place. I ordered glazed salmon Mac and cheese and yellow rice . Salmon was the size of my middle finger and all the way over cooked. It was hard . Mac and cheese was regular nothing special about it I could make better Mac and cheese myself. I'm very disappointed. Save your money order from another place

Plenty of reasons on why this should get 0 stars. I went on Sunday & came back to get a refund because my pork chops were not cooked. I thought the young lady in the front had a bad attitude until she started speaking and she’s the best thing about the restaurant. it’s true what the others say it’s the woman in the back that upsets her and speaks to her. it’s outrages and I hope she finds better. The place smells like dirty wet mop, food isn’t cooked all the way and the spirit is down

I really enjoyed Magic Soul Food. It's a corky little spot right off the main road. I enjoyed the ambience and the service was very friendly. My food was made fresh to order. I would eat here again.

So its been about 2 years since I been here. I feel they went downhill and the young woman there act like she didn't want to do her job and had a terrible attitude rolling her eyes my dad talk to her or asked about something on the menu. Everything I wanted was sold out. The food was okay. But I probably won't be back. Then after getting my food i realized the restaurant was graded B. They need improvements or hire someone that actually know how to treat paying customers smh

This spot used to be my go to for soul food when in the area. Today I ordered the fried chicken with Mac & cheese, yams and a side of collard greens. I started eating the food and had to stop in the middle of my meal to rate it. Didn't taste any cheddar cheese in the macaroni, it tasted like they used straight American cheese. The fried chicken was overcooked and tasteless, the yams were good and collard greens were edible. Totally disappointed with this meal on this day and will not be returning to MSF.

Avoid this place, or at least dont order through DoorDash. I ordered 15 minutes before close, admittedly, but it said the order was received and they assigned a delivery person to it. Called the restaurant and was told they would not be making or sending the food. Had to get a refund from DoorDash and they also gave me future credit. Food could be good, no idea. But the service isnt

I was so pleased with my 2 Wingett dinner the food taste delicious. Got collards green and half/half tea as side order also delicious. Plus the service was good which on 3/10/2020. Will return & hopefully more of the same service & food.
The cook on feb. 23rd at 3pm refused to cut up ribs in an order for a visually impaired customer. The lack of compassion displayed by this careless act made me so upset I have decided to never be a customer at this location again. I will also tell my friends, family, church members and co workers not to patronize them either.

Honestly 10/10. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and got the Whiting with Waffles and a side of Mac & Cheese. Everything was GOOD, BUT.. BABY, that WHITING? Delicious. Definitely will return.

Honestly the food wasn't good. The garlic mashed potatoes were pretty bland, the macaroni and cheese was not good at all the ribs were also just not good. You don't get a lot of food either. It was disappointing honestly
