Wonderful dry-aged steak and the Ember's potato pie was out of this world. Highly recommended!
Let's just start off with the fact that when we walked in and walked out the hostess was sitting at the bar. We should've turned around there and went somewhere else. The quality of the steak was not worth the price. I had bone in rib eye, wife had rib eye, and daughter had bone in NY strip. All ordered medium rare. The meat for the price was not tender, in fact it was hard to cut. Had no flavor. I've gotten better steak at the grocery store and made it at home. For $71 for a rib eye I expect the steak to be really good. The loaded baked potato was not even warm. Then they placed bacon and a slice of American cheese on top. Something my child could have made at home. The best part of the meal was my daughter's French fries, that's pretty bad to say but the truth.
Food was great and the service was excellent

Just not a true steak house. Ambiance was just a bunch of loud people at the bar not separated from the dining area. Food was just ok. One piece of filet mignon was so tough. Waiter who was also bartending had no personality. Find no reason to return here
Great steak, great service, the sides were a little skimpy (small) but I’ll definitely go back

Malone’s Chop House caught us a bit off guard. When we walked in, the place felt pretty casual, which didn’t quite match the fine dining-style menu and service that followed.
We started with the grilled octopus and short rib egg roll. The octopus was tender and full of flavor. The egg roll was tasty, with shaved Brussels on top. The filling made the wrapper a bit soggy, but the flavor made up for it.
The dry-aged porterhouse was great—well-cooked and seasoned right. The standout, though, was the sweet and crispy Brussels sprouts. They were packed with flavor and definitely the most memorable dish of the night. The onion strings were also solid.
Dessert was just okay—nothing special. The drinks, however, were excellent and well-balanced.
The best part of the evening was the service. Our server was attentive, professional, and made the experience feel more polished than the setting suggested. I wish I had asked for his name—he really made the night!
Overall: Malone’s has a few standout dishes, great drinks, and truly excellent service. The casual atmosphere and some very small misses held it back a tad bit, but it’s worth a visit—just don’t let the casual look fool you.

I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium rare. The center of the salmon was completely raw. The potato crust was lovely and the mashed potatoes were creamy. I let the waiter know about the raw salmon. He offered to take it back to the kitchen to have it put back on the stove. I politely declined. Then he asked if I wanted to take my entree home. I was a bit dismayed by that question. Why would I want to take a raw piece of salmon home from a restaurant? I'm going to a restaurant so I don't have to cook at home. Overall the dining experience was mediocre. Bathrooms were clean which was nice.
This is the 4th time I've had dinner here 1st two times were good was there for father's day had ny strip and clams casio
The clams had shell pieces in them and the steak was cold figured they were busy what ever went tonight had a porterhouse and crab cakes the steak was greasy I asked for medium well looked like they cut up the steak and put it back under the broiler it's not a thick steak so no need for that and the crab cakes were cold and had a funny taste don't think I'll be going back

This is an old timey steak house in Bay Ridge at the site of the old Embers Steak House. Much of the ambiance remains and the feel is like walking back in time a decade or two. The service is wonderful, the bartender is friendly and talkative. She makes a mean old fashion! The wait staff are never intrusive but also never far from your table. My only complaint is that my medium rare filet mignon was dry. Hard to mess up a filet but next time (and, yes, there will certainly be a next time because this place absolutely deserves a second chance) I will order my steak rare and adjust from there. This may have been a regional variation on the interpretation of medium rare and I'm more than willing to try again—if for nothing else than to enjoy the service again!
Party of 5 for dinner. Great service. Happy with food. Generous portions. Decent drinks. Noise level allows for conversation. Un-rushed, relaxed dining. My 15th reservation at Maolone's, and looking forward to my next meal there.
