Food is amazing!!! Super traditional with a rustic country charm. The flavor combinations are terrific and exciting for the palate. The rhum was strong and cocktails are mixed very well. Dishes priced well!

Atmosphere: We found ourselves at Reunion in the middle of New York
Service: Excellent
Decoration: Incredible Creole hut, extremely successful frescoes
Food: the sausage rougail was excellent (he makes his own sausages!), the combava pork samosas just as good and the combava ice cream very good
I plan to come back often!!!

This is probably one of the most unique restaurant in New york. Maloya literally brought a little piece of Reunion Island into bushwick brooklyn! A flavorful mix of french, indian, african, chinese cuisine. Everything on the menu is delicious. Sam makes great cocktails with traditional reunion island rhums?♥️

Best meal out I've had in ages. And I eat out A LOT. Lots of gluten free options and SO TASTY. Awesome people running it too. The five of us had a blast.

An amazing culinary discovery! First off, the veggie bonbons piment were absolutely delicious: crispy, flavorful, and not dry at all. The sweet and spicy sauce wasn’t necessary but added a nice extra touch.

We tried the mushroom bourguignon and the cabri massala, and both were a solid 10/10. The portions are generous, and the flavors are simply incredible. It is served with rice and lima beans or lentils, perfect sides for these dishes.

Special mention to the service, which was truly exceptional. Definitely an experience worth repeating!

Okay look, there are no pictures to accompany this recipe because I devoured absolutely everything they put down in front of us before my rational mind could reassert it's authority and remind me that I should be telling people how good this place is. This food is cooked with love and care and it shows in the aroma, presentation, and most importantly taste! The flavors are simple but deep and layered. The vanilla shrimp was a sweet and delicious delight, the lamb was out of this world tender and spiced amazingly, and the cheese and leek crispy appetizers were the perfect way to get our tummies rumbling! The cocktails were also out of this world, an amazing and thoughtful compliment to a dinner cooked with attention and devotion and passion. The decor is cozy and homey and this place is criminally empty, so you have no excuse not to go. EAT THIS FOOD!

Absolutely divine. We dined here for my sisters birthday and from beginning to end the experience was top notch. Samuel has created an environment of love, music, excellent food and a brilliant bar menu to allow you to dive into the La Reunion culture. It is a culture to be appreciated and we are lucky this spot has found a home in Bushwick. Run don’t walk to Maloya! Some of our favorites: the lamb, swordfish, coconut vanilla shrimp.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!! From the moment I entered to when I left, it was a perfect dining experience. The hostesses/server is so kind and friendly. She made us feel like we were eating in someone’s own home. The food is incredible, the cocktails are expertly made (and the cocktail menu is really unique and fun), the dessert was so delicious. I’ve never had this kind of cuisine before, but I loved every bite! By the way, even if you don’t eat ice cream for dessert, do yourself a favor and try it. It is not just regular ice cream out of a box; it is something special! I’ll tell everyone I know to go here. You will absolutely love it.

Very authentic Reunion Island cuisine, executed to the perfection. Everything is homemade and tastes exactly like in Réunion Island. I would recommend the samoussas and the rougail saucisses as a must try. Congratulations to the team from bringing the diversity of reunion island cuisine and ingredients to NYC.
