Last-minute Reservations after seeing my goddaughter‘s play, not far away in cobble Hill red Hook area and we want comfort food. We had the truffle Burrata and the calamari and the meatball and the pistachio salad and the eggplant Parmesan all really good as appetizers and then I had the Bolognese, which was really good and yeah, my friends had other things. One had the ravioli. it looked great. I didn't taste it, but presentation was good and you just had a great ambience. I would recommend 10 out of 10.

Felt great to be back in Italy briefly for dinner ?
That’s honestly how we felt while we enjoyed some calamari ( Fritto Misto del Mare ) and the seafood pasta ( Pasta allo Scoglio ). Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavor. I did expect a different pasta with our dish but the waitress clarified with us that some things aren’t on the menu anymore but you can still order it as long as they have the ingredients. So I will be back soon to try it. The limoncello truffle ( Tartufo Al Limoncello ) was the cherry on top of the night. We saw they had a happy hour until 7 so we’ll try to make it in time for that next time. Come in and try it all for yourself. They def know how to give you quality Italian food in downtown Brooklyn.
Thank you!

Parking: Probably best to come in the night for better parking

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had! Everything we ordered came out fresh, and it was all delicious. The limoncello raviolis were absolutely incredible. If you're in Brooklyn you need to eat here!

We were excited to finally try this place after the good reviews, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was cute, but the food absolutely fell short. Our pastas definitely gave boxed pasta vibes-we expected more for a $26+ per dish. Our meatball appetizer was fine, but nothing special. I don't think we'll return.

The meatballs were overcooked and the wine was way too warm.

Was excited to visit place since it has so many great reviews. But nothing special tbh. Food was okay, some dishes were to much salty. Limited menu. Limited bar. Spritz drinks felt like you drinking soda mixed with water. Service was okay. Restaurant was empty. Beautiful backyard was closed. Again, nothing special.

Lovely lunch today with my daughter. Thanks for having us. Simona made us feel very welcome

Had the ravioli (delicious), the bolognese (which was a bit heavy on the carrot flavor), and the caprese salad (delicious). The tiramisu was honestly the best part. Atmosphere was a little heavy on the island theme but otherwise good Italian place.

Had a birthday party here for 6. Shared frito misto and caprese salad appetizer. I had a rigatoni special with shrimp. Service was great, and while the food was good, their pasta is really the standout—made right there. Even the simplest spaghetti pomodoro is elevated here, because it’s so high quality. The prices are very reasonable for this neighborhood, so don’t let this place get too popular!

Cute lil restaurant in cobble hill. We had the cacio e pepe balls, the lasagna and the burrata trofie pesto.

The balls were very interesting, they evoked an array of tastes - sausage, cheese, pasta, sesame balls. A little bit greasy, anbut overall good.

I was surprised the lasagna was vegetarian, and it was still great. Well rounded, not overly cheesy saucy or salty. Very savory, warm. The eggplant inside paired well.

The trofie was creamy as hell. The burrata was good, but I would have preferred it separately to be honest, for the summer feel.

A little pricey but worth it by NY standards. I'd come back.

Cute vibes, with great potential. Ordered fried burrata app- would recommend, best thing we ate of the night. Ordered three pastas (gnocchi, lasagna primavera, and risotto with shrimp) and there was nothing that wowed us about them. Note: they have a good wine selection but they do not have a cocktail menu. Servers were friendly and attentive, but likely would not be back for the food.

my friend + i were so excited given the reviews but a little disappointed. not the worst, but not the best. we were in a pasta mood + got the the bolognese + gnocchi.

do not trust the photos from the instagram, they both came out very different. bolognese did not come with pappardelle pasta (as it stated on the menu), instead it was rigatoni. sauce was okay, but was the biggest let down. imagine wanting thick pappardelle but getting rigatoni?

gnocchi was pretty good but didn’t come out in a ceramic dish with scorched cheese as we had expected. flavor wise was decent.

pistachio salad was really good. our dinner did the job (we were very hungry) but expected a little more especially with the bolognese.

If I could give Mama Capri 20 stars, it wouldn't be enough. We hosted our wedding at Mama Capri yesterday. Everything was effortless, seamless, and absolutely beautiful. Simona, the event coordinator, is absolutely amazing. The food was unbelievably delicious, everything was planned to the tiniest detail. Nothing was missing. Everything was perfect. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Mama Capri is our go-to for events from now on!
