Absolutely love this place. One of my favorite meals recently. Service is so warm and the food is divine. Mama Lee herself brought us a few of the dishes! Three cup chicken and sweet and sour fish were my favorites. And the complimentary chicken and radish soup washes everything down. Def come with friends to get a variety of dishes. Will definitely return!

Fantastic Taiwanese food. Dishes are super flavorful. The pickled vegetable shredded pork rice cakes were a standout, but everything we ordered (cucumber salad, 3 cup chicken, and Lu Rou Fan) was delicious. Friendly and hospitable service. Highly recommend, will be back soon!

One of the coziest and friendliest restaurants I’ve been to in the city. Mama Lee herself served me and my friends homemade daikon soup, dumplings, and three cup chicken. She even gave us extra food for free. The food is fresh, delicious, and homely.

My friends and I stopped by while in Williamsburg to use the bathroom. I was standing outside while waiting for them and Mama Lee invited me in because it was chilly outside. She gave all of us free tea and then brought out two large bowls of chicken soup without us asking and refused our money. The soup was delicious, very flavorful with tender chicken but light. She was so kind and treated us so well. We ordered fried dumplings which were also delicious. We paid and tried to tip graciously given the above incredible service and treatment but she refused. I will definitely come back and now am a loyal customer of Mama Lees.

The best service I’ve ever received in NYC. Mama Lee was kind enough to invite us in when she saw we looked cold, gave us 2 bowls of soup, dumplings, and tea, and was so hospitable. The food was incredible, tasted homemade, and I will definitely be back.

For home-style traditional Taiwanese food, this is the spot. Tucked away by the water with a clean and simple esthetic. Perfect place to catch-up with friends over Taiwanese classics. The beef noodle soup was good, not spicy. The salt/pepper chicken was great, and juicy with a bit of plum salt I believe. The egg fried rice was also nicely seasoned and ratio of egg to rice. The Sacha beef reminded me of the night market style of preparation which was great and included oyster mushroom, and went well with the fried rice. Also got to try some dessert compliments of the chef which was a matcha tiramisu. This was really amazing, as it was not too sweet and did a really amazing job of balance the bitter from the matcha to the cream used to put it together. The chef/staff provided an amazing service and let us try some of their staff meal which was a pickled noodle fish dish which reminded me of my parent’s cooking. Bathroom was clean.I can’t wait to go back with friends to try some other items on the menu!

Mama Lee herself blessed the food with her love and always welcomed guests with generosity. Everytime we came, she went out of the way to give us something special (e.g. 3 kinds of chili sauces, insanely delicious chicken and daikon soup and candies). Her fun and loving presence made the place extra special. Will add food pictures next time.

It’s so rare to find authentic, homey tasting taiwanese food like this. Best porkchop I’ve had outside Taipei! Mama Lee gave us free soup and salad too! Highly recommend this spot

Absolutely loved the service and food! Great lunch boxes - we got the salt and pepper chicken and the tofu, both were delicious.

I’m sorry to have to post this, but it’s for the good of the community. We organized a Chinese New Years dinner for 25 people with exclusive use of the upstairs dining area, which was agreed to in writing. We were specifically looking for a restaurant that offered exclusive use so we can celebrate with friends and family. The restaurant then changed its mind and decided to open the upstairs rooms to any customer - without informing of us of the change! We only found by chance, the day before the dinner. At that point, the restaurant denied ever agreeing to the exclusive use, despite it being explicitly written in our emails. They then offered to give us exclusive use…if we paid $1,000 more. This, remember, is the day before the CNY dinner. We had no choice at that point. We had 25 committed guests who made plans to come.I find the team exceptionally dishonest and disingenuous. They took no responsibility for their behavior and made excuses left and right. At first I thought they were simply confused, but the pattern of lies continued. On the day, I was charged for extra guests. I came back the next day, where they agreed, in writing, to refund me. We signed a contract. Two months later, I still haven’t received the refund. This place is a total disaster. They cannot be trusted. If this is how they treat their paying customers, imagine how they treat their food.

At a higher price point but very nice space and superb friendly service, @mamaleeofficialrestaurant in Williamsburg serves you home cooking style Taiwanese food! Still heavier and more oily than at home, but the way they were prepped reminds you of a home cooked meal and warms your heart!

Mama Lee made me feel like home. I came for the 牛肉麵 but she shared a bunch of other dishes with me & said it was on the house. What an absolute lovely lady right here. I love her!❤️
