We miss the old diner but glad it’s open again for American comfort food. We had the beets and artichokes to start that were both simply done but delicious. The limone pasta was the least liked plate. Branzino with beans and steak were also tasty. Their version of Zuni cafe’s chicken was also flavorful. (I ate that chicken at least 1x/month with oysters and a Bloody Mary in SF!) Ultra thin shoestring fries were a hit. If you want bread, ask them for it plain. The toasted one was greasy with oil. Pleasant comforting winter meal. And you get $50 off for $150 on the inKind app if it’s the first time using it.

I was super disappointed with my experience of dining at the bar this week. The bartender was extremely rude and barely answered any of my questions about the menu. They seemed extremely annoyed that I was there. They never asked how the food was and basically just dropped the check. The food was fine, but definitely not worth the price point. Now I know why this place was empty!

We went for special occasion but ended up with a disappointing experience. Fries came out cold, salad seemed an afterthought and service was spotty.

I’d like to preface this review by saying I’ve dined at Margot numerous times at the bar and the food and service has always been 10/10. I dined with my husband and a few friends in the dining room last night and the service was shockingly cold and uninviting. There are numerous other restaurants to have dinner in Fort Greene for a five star food/service/atmosphere experience. For a bill that was $400+, this was not it.

Celebrated many occasions big and small at Margot and it’s always a lovely time. Delicious seasonal menu, cocktails, and wine list.

Nice little place, food is good not great & wines are reasonable
The seating is cramped and the chairs are dumb. Like most restaurants in Brooklyn the clientele is young enough that they are not worried about how uncomfortable their chairs are.

Mediocrity is spelled with “M” as in Margot.
The food is mediocre: You can find their dishes in many other places… cheaper.
The service is mediocre: The wait staff is clueless regarding customer service.
I hope they improve. Otherwise it is a waste of location.

Well curated interior, fun drinks, but service was cold! and seemed sour, he never even gave us his name (overheard it was Ben…) While the artichoke stunned, the hanger steak was rather forgettable :/

Diet Coke was $6 and the bottle was baby size.

Overall, enjoyed the food and ambience here. It’s an open concept kitchen, which is always fun to watch and in my opinion, enhances the experience. The roasted artichoke was hands-down my favorite thing we ordered. The verte salad was also really yummy, the added crunch from the breadcrumbs was nice and the dressing was fresh and flavorful. We also ordered the aglio & olio pasta which was yummy and the bucatini was cooked really well. The seabass was unique thanks to the addition of bacon and we enjoyed it. The reason I took a star off is because the chicken didn’t taste fresh. You could tell that it was prepped much earlier in the day because it had that sort of stale taste. Otherwise, the side of panzanella salad was delicious.

We’ve had just about everything on the menu and they do a great job with all of it. The staff are absolutely fantastic and they’re a delight to dine with! I especially recommend sitting at the bar for date night.

It's giving Cheesecake Factory goes to West Elm—abhorrently mediocre. Pasta is gloopy glop and burger is McDonald's but poorly assembled. No matter how much your check is for, it's much too much.

I love the atmosphere and open kitchen concept of this restaurant. Every dish was delicious with the exception of one that was moderate. The service is excellent. One of my favorite restaurants in New York because it is just straightforward. Yummy French/Italian food.
