We've lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and never made it here for some reason. Glad we finally decided to go as it was amazing. The food was delicious with generous portions and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely be going back soon.

We celebrated my husband and my son's birthday at Mariela last night. We were greeted warmly, and given a wonderful outdoor table. I like the casual ambiance. Our waitress and our busboy were both absolutely lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. We started with mussels in a garlicky tomato broth; they were cooked to perfection and the broth was delicious. Three of us had pasta, which was homemade and perfect consistency. My son had hangar steak which was also excellent....

Really nice Italian spot in a brownstone-style setting. Much more neighborhoody than the places on 5th or 7th.
Food has been consistent and good, staff has always been nice. Go on a nice night and sit outside.
