Needs more flavor. I’ve had lots of Japanese, but this wasn’t memorable. Owner was very nice, hopefully it’ll get better over time.

Avid sushi fan here. I’ve never had bad tasting sushi before in my life. This was by far the most disgusting sushi I’ve ever had.It was LIKE SPAM. It was blended up chunks of mystery fish. You could SEE THE DIFFERENT CHUNKS OF COLORS of fish parts. If they plan on selling that, they should clearly advertise that it’ll not be a whole cut of fish, but instead a mix of various parts. I got some scales in there too.I was so excited for the lunch special. I can now see WHY it was on sale. Just beware of the trick.

Bought shrimp tempura rolls from here yesterday and it made me vomit immediately. Really wanted my money back but didn’t wanna argue wt them over it. I’ll just never eat from them again. The crispy pineapple chicken was cool tho.

The tofu cubes in the curry are rubber. Avoid at all costs. Sadly most of the Masman vegetable curry is these inedible tofu cubes instead of potato or vegetables like I was hoping. No peanuts or cashews at all, no red pepper at all. Very cheap with the broccoli and potato - mostly huge rubber tofu cubes and onion slices. I would have rather had all onion slices if they have to be cheap about their dishes. I'm gonna stick with my usual go to thai place. If u get any entrees with vegetables, SPECIFY NO TOFU. Honestly, this is so bad I wish I could return it. And the rice comes in the small round cardboard soup container and wasn't packed, so that's about 2 servings of rice, max. Total waste of $16.

I've been craving for pad thai so long and I tried this. The portion is very big and the price is fine and there were lots of shrimps inside. But it didn't taste like pad thai! Very small peanuts and somehow the sauce was not like pad thai at all. It was a bit disappointing.

This place has the best poke bowl I've ever had.I get salmon on top of sushi rice with wasabi mayo, mango, seaweed, shiitake mushrooms, and jalapeños.Everytime I eat this I swear that my soul rises up out of my body and is momentarily reverberated throughout the entire universe.

Food is always fresh. Great value only 11$ for lunch special with extra like green edamame and miso soup. They switch to brown rice for no extra charge. Plate was bigger than my iPad. Awesome place to grab lunch.

The Pad Thai was extremely spicy. It’s not supposed to be (from what I know). I couldn’t eat at all, so disappointing! Mango sticky rice doesn’t come with coconut milk/cream; isn’t that one of the main ingredients? The rice was hard, probably not fresh.

I wish I can give it zero stars and it was so bad I had to right a review , I usually order from the sushi spot sakura tokyo on Nostrand and pacific but this 1 on sterling was new and I wanted to try It , plus they replaced the old sushi spot here on Sterling which was way better , the food here was so bad I don't even eat it and it was expensive , 17$ for chicken teriyaki and 15$ for the Jason special roll I got , the chicken tasted like it was microwaved ,it was rubbery , the sauce was bad ,didn't taste like Japanese teriyaki sauce , and the rice was small container , the sushi was horrible , the sushi looked like it was rolled by the instant sushi roller supermarkets use and not by hand because all the pieces were the same size and too much rice in the sushi roll , the fish on the sushi roll was trash ,didn't taste fresh ,only thing saving the roll was the sauce , I paid 34$ for chicken teriyaki and Jason special roll , I said to myself it better be good for being that expensive , and food taste like microwave food ,I'll never order again , it's that bad that I had to write a review and I don't write reviews unless I felt like I've been wrong'd and I have because I paid $34 for a meal , $3 tip to delivery man and it was garbage , the old Japanese spot this replaced was way better , this food may look good but chicken was rubbery and tough to chew ,the white rice container was small ,and that chicken teriyaki order was 17$ smh , sushi roll taste worse than supermarket sushi , way worse , u can tell it wasn't rolled by hand and rolled with sushi roller , u can youtube what a sushi roller is

Considering the reviews, people who go to Kiku clearly have never tried Thai food before, or any good noodle dishes for that matter.I ordered a "Thai noodle dish", with broccoli and chicken. Putting aside the fact that it contained mostly noodles with some chicken, and slices of a somewhat tough single broccoli stem, there wasn't a shred of memory of Thai flavors in this dish. It's an insult to Thai food. It's was just another "noodles with chicken" dish with soy sauce and way too much salt.

Yesterday I had the “need” for a Poke. So, I ordered one from Kiku Sushi. While the thin layer of fish and avocado appeared pretty fresh, the “Poke Bowl” was acutely more of a Chirashi Don, as it was mostly consisted of a pile of unflavored rice.I haven’t had a Poke Bowl in NYC before, so my only reference were the ones I previously had in Hawaii.Be that as it may, a pile of unflavored rice with a thin layer of fish wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.

Dirty. Poor service. I ordered food and came in to pick up. My food was sitting on the counter without a top on it. Flies were flying around it and settling on the avocado rolls. I didn't realize it was my food. I waited for 10 minutes - there were 6 workers in the restaurant. I finally asked if my food was ready. The woman jumped up quickly to put the cover on the food. I asked why the food was sitting out like that unopened. She said she didn't know I was there. I told her it was because her back was turned to the door and she was on her phone. Either way food shouldn't just sit out without being covered. I said that's not sanitary. She said "do you want it or not" with an attitude. I decided to leave. The prices are cheap and this is why. I won't be going to this establishment anymore.

Offers large, flavorful portions for very cheap, and their preparation is incredibly fast (10 - 15 minutes), especially the lunch menu (chicken teriyaki with California roll or shumai is my go-to). One of their dishes usually lasts me two meals. I don't know what I was doing for lunch before Masago
