Stepping into the Kensington McDonald’s, one is greeted by an aroma that evokes the warmth of freshly toasted brioche. The Quarter Pounder with Cheese unfolds like a sonnet to balance — its tender beef patty rests beneath a silken blanket of molten American cheese, its tangy notes of pickle and onion performing in perfect counterpoint. The fries, golden and architectural, stand like slender monuments to minimalistic perfection. A democratic indulgence elevated to modern art.

This has been my local McDonald’s for 3 decades, or longer; I don’t remember exactly when it opened. The food quality has vastly improved over the years. I hadn’t gone to McDonald’s for years cause it’s too expensive for fast food (I can get a real burger for the same price), but I started using the app 6 months ago and it’s worth it. I never had an issue with any of the employees or the food - no complaints there.

Getting better but still Draconian when compared to other top performing fast food restaurants in New York. The attrition rate here is horrendous and service would get better if they can actually get their employees to stay in a position for more than 3 months.
