Awful. Ordered the Mula Cantarito from the Happy Hour menu. Description: "Don Ramon Tequila , Fresh Lime, lemon & Orange Juice, Topped with Fresca." What is it really? Tequila and Squirt. Literally. Bartender just opened a bottle, poured it in a fancy class with some well tequila and handed it to me. Absolute garbage restaurant.

Be careful, I felt cheated with the prices. The issue is that at happy hour they don't make it clear to you that it's not 2x1 and you ask yourself... the big deal comes later! The place is not bad, authentic Mexican, really Mexican flavor, good carajillos outside of Mexico and decent service although they take a long time to serve. The mezcalitas here are good. It also gets a good atmosphere very late. It is a mandatory stop in Brooklyn… at night, as if to close the experience.
New favorite Mexican in the neighborhood for date night - cocktails are great, food is delicious and generous portions. Staff is nice and attentive.
My fav part is their playlist, I’ve been 3 times now and playlist is just perfection

He provided detailed information about the drinks, shared some fascinating background on the restaurant, and was consistently checking in to ensure I had everything we needed. I started my meal with the chips and guacamole, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. The highlight of my dinner was the chicken tinga quesadilla nachos, bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, I indulged in the churro turnovers, which were simply fantastic, especially when paired with the exquisite dulce de leche dipping sauce. The drinks at Mexi were truly out of this world. Their extensive mezcal collection is a testament to the expertise of their bartenders, who craft each drink with precision and creativity. Overall, my experience at Mexi was outstanding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hidden gem in Williamsburg.
