Date night must! We saw this restaurant on a walk one day and the orange exterior caught our eye. The brass gates are also a cute touch! We love Mexican food and have not found too many good places nearby but this place was amazing. For starters we had the albondigas (meatballs) which came with sourdough toast to soak up the sauce. We also got the mixed salsa plate and one of the salsas was almost like a chili/peanut salsa. It was to die for. For our main we got the birria tacos and shrimp chile relleno. Both were excellent. The tacos weren’t too greasy which was a plus. To drink we had the El Maestro and the el chon chon picante. Both 10/10. Not pictured is their version of an espresso martini. It was good but made with mezcal which is not my favorite but it was still a good drink. We will definitely be coming back!

Great spot. The food was delicious and the decor was delightful. Service was superb. Not 5 stars though because their cocktails are $16-18 and are literally 75% ice - one giant cube occupying the majority of our glasses. The drink itself was like 4 sips worth. $4 per delicious sip.

Love this spot, so underrated! The space is beautiful, the staff is AMAZING and friendly, and the food was great too. The tuna tostaditas, the octopus, and the birria tacos. AND you do not want to sleep on dessert here: Churros Popovers, Tres Leches Sundae, and the Flan Imposible are INSANE and I'm not even a dessert person. Largest selection of mezcal in Brooklyn apparently too!

Randomly ran into this place. Food was great but where this place shines is the amazing mezcal selection and the knowledge of the bartender who was very well versed in all their options. Highly recommend for a mezcal fan who wants good food and great ambience!

Coming from someone who's married to a Mexixo City native, and has lived there herself I have to say this place felt like I was sitting in a restaurant in Coyoacan. From the ambiance, to the drinks to the food... everything is authentic and on POINT. Things you must try: The Guac Birria Tacos Carne Asada The Oaxaca hot chocolate
