We had the most wonderful 96th Birthday lunch for our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at Mexique Cafe. The staff were amazingly accommodating and went beyond our expectations. The food was delicious and all 10 dishes arrived at the same time. It was quite a feat when all 10 dishes were different! We will definitely return before her 97th Birthday!
Wonderful non pretentious neighborhood French restaurant offering good food at reasonable prices with Mexican decor and a very hospitable host. Loved the mussels and frites and the wine at happy hour prices.
Absolutely perfect high-quality French food, in a lovely classic cafe atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. We had coq au vin and mussels and some very good wines, including a Bordeaux from the Medoc -- something I rarely see on a wine list. I live nearby and walk past here nearly every day but did not even realize it was a French restaurant. There's no obvious sign with the name, just some hard-to-see lettering on the window. They rarely post on Instagram....
