My husband, an original Brooklynite, and I were visiting from Virginia and decided to stay with family rather than Manhattan. Thus we ended up here, barely able to get a mid afternoon reservation.
I'm not Italian and certainly didn't grow up in a family that cooks all the time. But I've traveled quite a bit, 14 times in Italy. And this doesn't cut it.
Overly breaded appetizer sampler with very little flavor of the main ingredient. Unfortunately I had already been hastened to order my entree. Sadly the comfort food I was hoping for I was lasagna - dry, a tiny hint of cheese, and apparently bechamel.
My husband had an overly breaded Veal Parmesan. We had it wrapped up to take home, though little if any, will be eaten

So I had a meeting with a customer just a few minutes away from the restaurant. My wife and I were looking for a really nice Italian restaurant. This was highly recommended. It was our first time there, we look forward to going back real soon. There's nothing like authentic food, and it always goes with a great experience. It was fabulous.

Michaels is an old school Italian restaurant that is family operated. I've been there many times, and every thing on the menu is absolutely delicious!! The staff is very attentive to making sure you have a great dining experience.
Really cool place family oriented with no hats and basketball shorts which I love. Enzo was our server and he was fantastic. We weren't rushed and loved the entrees more than the appetizers. Desert was great also.
