Can be good or bad depends. First time went at night was really good and tasty. Went there at 11am for chicken over rice the chicken was overnight chicken. I threw it out cuz it tasted so bad. Went there another time and they wanted to charge me $1 for extra white sauce. I go to the one across the street now they add fries and even add falafel sometimes for free.

Used to be top tier one of the best around
Now it’s below average
And it’s $11 dollars now lol

This place seems to be super hyped but it's really just average in both freshness and flavor. Portion size is smallish-medium, it's a bit under sauced and at $12 for a combo it's more expensive than a lot of Manhattan halal carts.
The one differentiator is the fact that the salad has pickles, but it's a tiny amount.
Fast service and good food! Keep in mind it's cash only.

What happened to this place? The chicken is not seasoned at all and it’s grey. It’s literally plain rice, plain chicken and chopped onion; extremely bland and they barely added any green sauce. Used to be a big fan of this cart but i won’t be back, especially this for $11

This place used to be so good, went from $6 to $9 & now its $11.. which is ridiculous the price keeps going up over the years and portion gets smaller and smaller. I used to love this place but now its just sad to see how the portions went less, if you guys going to increase the price atleast increase the tray size and feed the people who support your business.

Raised prices to $13 per platter. I waited on line, saw the new menu prices, and turned away in disbelief. That will be my last visit to 86th st halal after being a customer for 9 years.
Large portions. Delicious flavors. Perfectly cooked. Savory flavors. I prefer them over The Halal Guys. It is that good!

FAKE REVIEWS! Same as across the street! Yes I've tried both places, food is bland and small portions and they both keep raising their prices. Oh I'm sorry your cost is higher, my income is the same though lol
