Mikes has been a staple in the community for almost 40 years i remember bringing my kid to have breakfast on Saturday mornings before her activities it was cheap and cheerful Pratt students and faculty would be there as well. Now its practically same staff bathroom remodeled and costs have increased but so as everuthing else same friendly and fulfilling breakfast no bells and whistles but simple good food

Stopped by Mike’s Cafe on a Sunday morning and really enjoyed it. It’s a laid-back, classic New York spot with friendly service and a steady stream of regulars. I got two eggs, toast, bacon, and homefries, everything was really good, though the homefries could’ve been a bit crispier. It was super busy, which makes sense for the weekend, and while we had to sit outside, I was glad we found a table. Would definitely go back.

What a great experience we had eating breakfast at this neighborhood favorite. A true New York City experience, four of us stuffed into a booth of a busy place on a Saturday morning. The food was amazing, the service was top-notch and it was just an all-around great time.

Great local diner! The staff was very friendly. I was in NYC for a few days and ate breakfast here twice. The portions were a good size and the food came out piping hot. I’m from the south so I wasn’t sure about how the grits would come out. Overall, not bad for NYC. They were a little watery for my taste, but again not bad.
They had counter seating if you are rolling solo. Space is a bit tight, but manageable. I went around 9am and had at most a 10 minute wait the first time and no wait the second time.
