Mikes has been a staple in the community for almost 40 years i remember bringing my kid to have breakfast on Saturday mornings before her activities it was cheap and cheerful Pratt students and faculty would be there as well. Now its practically same staff bathroom remodeled and costs have increased but so as everuthing else same friendly and fulfilling breakfast no bells and whistles but simple good food
Stopped by Mike’s Cafe on a Sunday morning and really enjoyed it. It’s a laid-back, classic New York spot with friendly service and a steady stream of regulars. I got two eggs, toast, bacon, and homefries, everything was really good, though the homefries could’ve been a bit crispier. It was super busy, which makes sense for the weekend, and while we had to sit outside, I was glad we found a table. Would definitely go back.
Hands down the best spot for breakfast! The waffles, French toast, and grits are always delicious. The staff makes you feel like family and if you're a regular, they’ll greet you by name. It’s that kind of place that keeps you coming back.
