Went in to get a pastry was greeted by worker asking how I was, and when I responded she/they didn’t hear me so then they asked again rudely. I guess queen was having a bad day or something but it did hurt my feelings and over stimulated me. #everybodymakesmistakes #everybodyhasthosedays

No laptops on weekends. They will ask you to leave.
Coffee is good.

I came in and got a bagel with cream cheese and the cheese just straight smelled and tasted spoiled. It felt like someone froze it a month ago and thought that it would be fine. They charged me like five dollars for a bagel the size and texture of the ones you’d get at public school breakfast. I’ve tried to give this place a shot because the baristas are super sweet but it’s really obvious when the managers don’t care about quality. Would’ve enjoyed the atmosphere more if I wasn’t worried about food poisoning

I went in a few weeks ago and who I presume to be the manager (?) was scolding/yelling at an employee in front of the entire place. It felt highly inappropriate and also just disheartening as a customer? Why would I want to patronize a place like this? It rubbed me completely the wrong way especially at what’s supposed to be a friendly small business ?

Go to the deli a few doors down for a bagel. The price here is 3x the cost and look how much cream cheese they give you.

This place just gives weird vibes and has always been my last choice in the neighborhood.
Their food is okay but worse than the bodega across the street (3x more expensive, too), and their coffee is among the worst. The employees have their favorite customers, which is fine. But it feels weird when they treat these customers like family while acting like a broken kiosk to others. I'm not saying they're rude, just that if you are sensitive to customer service, you are' not going to have a good experience. It's one of those places where you need to TRY to get along with the baristas--as a customer, being nice and polite isn't enough.

Really nice looking/feeling shop in the neighborhood. My barista was kind. But I ordered a cortado and whatever beans were used to make the espresso were so burnt I couldn’t get past the first sip. I drink a cortado almost every day from different shops. Please change your espresso beans, they tasted like carbon today. 🙏🏾

I enjoyed my breakfast sourdough egg scramble order. It was so delicious and fresh. I ordered their small drip coffee, and it tasted so good. I really like the aesthetic of the place, and the service was phenomenal.

The quality of service has decreased, and the price has increased. I used to go every weekend, but the food isn’t worth the price now, so I’ve been 3 times since the increase. The staff used to be really nice, now every time I go in they are barely listening to my order and more engaged in their side conversations. Maybe that’s why they got my coffee order wrong. Didnt even say hi back to me. I spent years working in the service industry, so I understand it can be monotonous, but you still need to maintain professionalism. Especially with this insane pricing- I could have grub hubbed my breakfast to me for that price.

My new go-to spot for morning coffee in Brooklyn. You are greeted with jazz music and vibes the second you enter. Great quality coffee, friendly and patient staff. This is the ONLY place i have found to have good coffee, beautiful interior and comfortable seating space all together.

I love their dirty chais here. They’re almost a perfect blend of bitter to sweet and the staff are very sweet and welcoming, so I usually love coming here! Just try to avoid going during the busier hours - especially if you want to order like a bagel or something and chill n’ sit down. I waited 10 minutes for my bagel w/ cream cheese and it was a bit too toasted and quite small to be frank. Granted, they did warn me it could take that long, it can just be a little inconvenient is all, so plan accordingly. And maybe skip the bagels or don’t get them toasted.
I wonder if they just have a limited amount of toasters and such but overall I still recommend it to anyone in or near the area.

The reviews about baristas are extremely biased and dense. If you are relying on a small busy cafe to boost your self esteem and cater to your computer you need to stay home and look in the mirror. Being spiteful towards workers being paid minimum wage is a low blow. I love their Chai and pistachio donut. :)
