About Miriam Restaurant

Miriam Restaurant is a cozy, no-frills Israeli eatery that exceeds expectations. The menu offers a variety of delicious small plates to share, such as the Dip Plate featuring labneh, falafel served on pita chips, roasted squash, vegan stuffed pepper, and Brussels sprouts. For dessert, the Cast Iron Date Cake and Kanafe are standouts. The atmosphere inside is really nice, with attentive and friendly servers who provide good service. The food is fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions that are worth the price. The main dishes are in the $30-50 range, and appetizers are $20-30, making it a good value especially when shared. The lamb shawarma bowl is highly recommended and very delicious. The cozy ambiance is comfortable and not too cramped, making it a great spot for dinner before a concert or casual gathering with friends. It is also a welcoming place for those seeking vegetarian and gluten-free options. The restaurant has a friendly environment that reminds some customers of home, and the staff, including the chef and owner, contribute to the pleasant experience.

We ordered a three dip appetizer of labne, tahini and tomato. The labne and tahini had no taste and the tomato had a bite suggesting that it may have been rotten. We had the Tunisian salad, hummus, brussels sprouts falafel, spicy vegetables and two branzinos. The branzino was buried in tahini and it was impossible to taste the fish (awful). The salad and hummus had no taste and the brussel sprouts were pretty good. All told, the food was really lame.

The server was hard...read full review
