My excitement for dining out is back thanks to this place. I can't believe how tasty everything was! The team combined prompt responses with respectful treatment. I found the meals delicious and the atmosphere perfect for dining. The appeal of dining here daily is overwhelming.

I visited this restaurant with family and friends. The best things we had were the collard greens egg rolls and soda. The food was tasteless and the catfish tasted spoiled. The service was extremely slow to the point that some ppl at our table had received their food and while waiting for others to receive their food, the food got cold. The waitress kept forgetting to bring things to the table. The chef has an unwelcoming attitude which shows in the food. I’m rewriting this review because I’m not seeing my previously posted review. This establishment is not ready to call themselves a “Soul Food” restaurant.

I was beyond thrilled to find this place! Ethel and Annie Mae's has authentic soul food and a great atmosphere. The chicken biscuit is good but I had to give five stars for the amazing dessert. I'd say probably the best slice of cake I've had in this neighborhood. It was super fresh and tasted perfectly homemade. I'll definitely be back to try more!

This place is a hidden gem a really nice laid back atmosphere , the food is good, the space is welcoming and cozy and easy to get to...I will be visiting again.

Amazing. A little gem in the heart of Bedstuy Brooklyn. Black owned and operated. Live Jazz, good food, and great vibes. Check em out! The banana pudding is thick & creamy, the butter pecan cake is soft & moist, and the food was cooked well and delicious!

Delicious food! Everything was very flavorful! Especially loved the banana pudding.

The space was very beautiful as well! I placed a to go order and played a few rounds of bingo at their Monday bingo night while waiting for my food. Had a great time!

Ate brunch here. Both mine and my friends food was absolutely delicious. He had chicken and waffles and I had turkey, bacon, scrambled eggs, and homestyle potatoes. It took a bit to get our food but it was well worth the wait. The staff was extremely friendly as well. Would 100% go back.

Came here on a Sunday, and there were no customers inside, that should been the first red flag for me. It was a little early, about 3:30pm and I was ordering take-out so I let that slide. I will say the lady who took my order was nice and patient while I figured out what I wanted to eat, and I phoned my sister for another order while there. I got catfish, yams, collard greens and a side of potato salad for myself. The catfish was tasty at first bite, then I pulled it apart and noticied some parts were pink and uncooked. I was given two pieces and the second piece was not edible. The yams were okay, just canned and drowned in maple syrup, the greens were also canned and not seasoned. The potato salad was surprisingly good though. I don’t know if I just went on a bad day but I wasted $46 in total for two meals.

I ordered a Turkey and candied yams for Thanksgiving. The turkey was the best Ive ever tasted, my family was raving about it. Thanking my friend Carl for the recommendation. He said chef Danielle is the truth and he was right.
