5$ for everything bagel with flavored cream cheese (july 2025). I like the cream cheese but the everything season was too salty for my preference. I will get a plain bagel next time.

Small bagel deli with an outside seating area offering a variety of grocery items, chips and drinks. Good and friendly service!
One of the best everything bagels I have had in a while. Salty just how I likes

Many different tofu-based vegan cream cheeses. I ordered the tofu lox cream cheese on an everything bagel. Delicious.

Worst in the business. Gave this place a second chance after getting fishy tasting CHICKEN SALAD with a bone in it - just walked about after waiting 35 minutes without a bagel. Worst service and the food is pretty bad anyway.

It's a great spot for a quick bite. The bagels are as I enjoy them, crunchy on the outside, and chewy on the inside! I eat mine toasted with a choice of three yummy Tofu spreads. I am going to try their tuna the next time! There are four small tables outside, but the leaves from the trees do rain on you in the fall. Honestly, I take my bagel to a coffee shop and eat it there, shhh, don't tell!
Dietary restrictions: Yummy Tofu spread!
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible at all.

Received the wrong order, called the restaurant and they were extremely unhelpful.
Montague Street Bagels is a Montague Street staple! They have great hours and are usually always open. It can get packed with tourists visiting the promenade but service is fairly quick.
They accept card but obviously cash is preferred! They have a good selection of bagels and cheese but I usually keep it simple with some plain or chive cream cheese with tomatoes bacon and capers.
I've read complaints about the service but that has never been an issue for me. Just look at the selection and be prepared to give them your order and you will be good

They burnt the bread and still gave it to me. I didn't realize until I got home. I'm never going there again.
Super rude staff. Someone cut me in line when I was clearly waiting to order and when I said something, the guy behind the counter glared at me and then apologized to the person who cut me. The bag felt light as I walked out, and this is what I got for $5. I feel like they skimped on the cream cheese on purpose after that interaction. I won’t be going back.

Incredibly rude staff, mediocre food, overall very unpleasant experience which is disappointing as I was hoping to support a local business for monthly community events. There are better options, with honest, courteous employees in the neighborhood.

Deducted one star as they were really busy today, long wait times and gave me a bagel I didn't order which was a bummer I only noticed when I had walked away already.
Very good crispy bagel and at a reasonable price. Very friendly and smiling welcome. Possibility of eating on a small terrace. I recommend.
