i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!

Great date night spot and drinks. Wide negroni selection. Kitchen was busy but food came out fast. Nice intimate and jazzy music atmosphere. The food was amazing and octopus app blew me away. Definitely returning.

I will say their menu is limited with small portions that are a bit high priced, but the food is great.. as a black man who cooks and likes seasoning in his food, this was the best pork chop I ever had. I made a joke with the bar tender about then having seasoning it perfectly. The night was a lil hectic because they claimed the garden and all the tables were rented out/ reserved but when I called a couple days prior there was no mention of it which forced us to be stuck at the bar or outside dining in the street. The atmosphere/ vibe of the place... I felt like I was being watched while waiting for my company. I felt that there was a lil fear or concern that I was gonna try to run out on the bill. Overall the food was really good. Classic large ice cube with a splash of alcohol kind of hard liquor but decent place id consider returning if their menu was larger and I could actually get a table.

I love this spot for so many reasons. Stefano is the best host during the week day and therefore it is my go to lunch spot. Dinner is sultry and such a great date spot for my Raya dates. The food is 10 stars ?

The place is beautifully designed and decorated. The pizza and drinks were great but the pasta was awful. Appetizers were good. 3 of us got the carbonara and regretted it. Service also felt rushed. We tried to flag the server down for another round of drinks after our meal but she put the check down instead and left. This was a Sunday night where business was low and the restaurant was open for another hour. It kinda off putting so we decided to cut it short and leave.I’d consider going back for pizza and drinks at a later time but would not recommend the pastas to anyone.

Decent drinks selection however their carbonara was questionable especially the noodle selection. Were rushed out as soon as we finished our meal.

This restaurant never disappoints. Bufalotta pinsa is delicious, and the steak is great also. My go-to desert is tiramisu and a cup of cappuccino. Ambiace is great, light music, nice decoration and great staff.

One of my to go spots for delicious pinza. I truly consider Montesacro to have one of the best pinzas in NY. I really enjoy the dough they use and the fresh ingredients. I’ve tried their pastas as well, they are pretty good. They also have a variety of different Negronis - which I love.

This review is long overdue. I've been a fan of Montesacro for a while. Recently took my parents there for a birthday dinner. Everyone was blown away by the food — specifically the Casal Bertone Pinsa, arctic char, bistecca and tiramisu. My dad said it was the best tiramisu he's ever had and I agree. Service was attentive and they also accommodate food allergies. My daughter was able to get gluten-free pasta prepared the way she likes. The atmosphere is also great — good for romantic dinners or celebrations and very lively (maybe a little too loud for folks sensitive to noise, but hey, it was Friday night). Overall, 5 stars. Highly recommend!

This place is a gem! Pinsa is arguably best in the city. Went here kind of by accident for a friends birthday as we were looking for a last minute reservation and they had availability for some reason and friend wanted Italian. Food was absolutely amazing. Appetizers were great including octopus and prosciutto- but the pinsas were truly out of this world. Light, airy - amazing crust with decent chew. Pastas were surprisingly top notch as well! The ragu which even the top Michelin starred places in the city always make sense, and massively salty was perfect. Amazing service, awesome deserts. We had a great time, highly recommended. Nothing beats going into a restaurant with high hopes and moderate expectations just to get much more than expected. Rare these days when overrated seems to be the norm.
