Nothing special here. The only thing special is it's a hallmark of the area. In terms of the dog I actually thought it wasn't very good at all. Probably one of the worser dogs I've had. For the name and money they want for these dogs I'm expecting something top notch. You can't even add ketchup mustard and relish to your order and have to manually add them yourself once you get your food. What a joke.

I'm not a huge fan of hotdogs or Nathan's in general, I haven't had a hotdog in over four years because I try not to eat pork. I ordered the onion rings and they were amazing. The batter was slightly sweet and balanced the salt. we covered ours with mustard & they were delicious. They weren't that hot, but still very good. I was surprised at the cost of 3.99 for small onion rings and they charged five dollars and change for a hotdog which wasn't that large. I ordered one with onions and sauerkraut and it was delicious, it was cooked well done just like I asked. The lines were long but surprisingly moved quickly. Overall, I had a good experience.

There were 8ppl in front of us in line. The food took 40mins. I could have walked home, learned to make the chili dog, taken a nap, eaten aforementioned chili dog, stolen the moon, solved world hunger, and came back. And I'd still be 3rd in line at Nathan's. The food was unremarkable. The chili dog was a 4/5. Rest were 3/5. Avoid unless you want to wait 40mins for stadium food

It took 40+ minutes to get 1 fish sandwich for my mom. I ordered earlier and got my hotdog, fries, and lemonade. The hotdog was undercooked, halfway cut in half, and the bun was ripped apart. They had about 15 people working with only 2 in the actual kitchen, and even though they had majority of their staff at the register it still took forever. For a famous restaurant you'd think they'd have a better system.

I was there on the 4th and watched Joey Chestnut do it again. I went in after it was over and had a couple and french fries. Delicious!

Im glad I tried it, so if anyone ever asks me again, I can say no. Absolutely not, and for good reason. The line took forever, not because it was actually long, there were 5 or 6 people ahead of us but it took an hour. Customers became very vocal about their frustrations, it was like being in a protest, but everyone was hungry. Employees gave 0 ?s. Everything was served cold. There was nowhere to sit so we sat on the beach where sand covered our hotdogs and cheesy fries.

I received the worst service at the place: I waited 20 mins to place my order using the self order machine, machine was out of paper no receipt printed; waited another 20min and my food didn't come out, the family ordered after me from the same machine got their hot dogs, I asked the employee and he told me that he is nothing my over on the kitchen display, matter escalated to the manager, I showed him the credit card receipt on my phone, but he refused to help, simply told to me "that is not my problem"

It's Nathan's; you might not love it but you won't hate it either. It's a staple so when I go to Coney Island, I go to Nathan's. I was kind of shocked by how expensive it's gotten, over $5 for a hot dog. You can't wrong with just a hot dog and sauerkraut! I also ordered a hot dog with chili and cheese. It was kind of bland. Fries are great! They need a better system for serving customers. I was here the day of the Mermaid Parade so it was very busy. When I got on line there were maybe 4 people ahead of me and yet it took over 20 minutes for me to place my order. If all you're primarily serving are hot dogs and fries there's no reason you can't be fulfilling orders faster. However they have the person who takes your order also prepare your food. Probably didn't help that the employee who took my order was working a lot slower than those around her.

I'm heartbroken! Growing up in Brooklyn and Nathan's being one of my favorite places I was heartbroken tonight. I now live in Florida and have dreamt about going back to Nathan's for years. Today was finally the day we went and I cannot believe what they've done. First of all they totally change the layout and eliminated many of the favorites on the menu. No corn on the cob, no softshell crabs, no clams and now it's more like walking into a large Burger King or other fast food place that the employees could give it crap less about the customers. I stood in line for 11 minutes while cashiers counted coins in their til, talked and joked amongst themselves and completely ignored the customers. You can no longer order a well-done hotdog, you get what they give you. Then Nathan's I have loved my whole life is officially gone. Like that famous saying "you can't go home!"

There was some hype but sadly it missed the mark for us. I guess they thrive off the passing one of trade because the staff were surly teens, the food expensive & taste wasn’t great. The chips (fries) for example & onion rings just tasted mainly of rancid cooking oil. The hot dog looked and tasted no better than ones you can buy cold off the shelf at Walmart! The milkshake was nice but took 15mins to be given so we got our food first & basically had to stand at the counter. When I dared asked the server how much longer will the milkshake take she snatched the receipt out my hand and barked ‘you have only ordered one’. Yes I replied & we are still waiting. She muttered something to her colleague & 5 mins after that someone came over & slammed the milkshake on the counter with not a word said.

The lines were very long but it moved quickly & our order was correct. They have kiosks & cashiers available. Limited table seating but can't beat the view with plenty of boardwalk space to find a spot.

Great tasting hotdogs. They also have a variety of other things on the menu. They have burgers, chicken straps and chicken sandwiches.

If you visited Coney Island without going to Nathan's, did you really go? I'm a huge fan of hot dogs, no way was I leaving Coney Island without getting one from Nathan's. Is it the world's greatest hot dog......meh, I think not. But it's good. Really wish they would have had onions for the dog but the deli mustard was just fine. The dog was salty, juicy, cooked perfectly, had a great snap, and was presented on fresh bun. Though I did not order them, here they offer a wide variety of clams, burgers, and even frog legs(that's not a typo). The line is insanely long on weekends even in non peak hours. It moves incredibly slow for the number of cashiers they have. Though friendly to me, the cashiers looked pretty miserable and don't move very fast. After dealing with the clientele, who could blame them?
