The fame is what drew me. The food is terrible!!
If your nostalgic about have a famous Nathan’s hotdog on the board walk. Give it a try!
If you’re looking for good food try something else!!!
Pro tip: theres a self order line that gets super long and everyone thinks you need to stand there for hot dogs. Go to the regular line you can get dogs there! We did and it was very quick! On the 4th of July! Hot dog was just fine, the fries were very good. Would come back for fries
A must when visiting the boardwalk!
Nathan’s Famous – A Coney Island Classic You Just Have to Try at Least Once 🌭☀️
No NYC food bucket list is complete without a stop at Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a rite of passage. This iconic spot has been serving up hot dogs since 1916, and walking past without grabbing one feels almost illegal.
🌭 Now, let’s talk about the dogs. Are they overpriced? Yup.
Are they mind-blowingly amazing? Not exactly.
Are they filling? Definitely not.
But would I get one again? 100% yes.
Why? Because it’s not just about the hot dog. It’s the whole experience. You’re standing where generations of New Yorkers and tourists have stood — hot dog in hand, ocean breeze in your face, the buzz of the boardwalk behind you. Whether you eat it on the iconic boardwalk benches or stroll a few more steps and enjoy it right on the beach, the vibe is unbeatable.
✨ It’s the taste of summer nostalgia, NYC history, and a little bit of tourist magic all wrapped in a warm bun.
Pro tip: Grab a drink, take your time, and soak it all in. You’re not here for gourmet — you’re here for legend status.
Final word: Not the best hot dog you’ll ever eat, but probably one of the most memorable. If you’re in Coney Island, don’t skip it. It’s a must-do moment — and let’s be real, your Instagram kinda needs it. 😉
This place was awesome. But u have to get the chili and cheese dog.

The food at this place is awesome this is because my mom and I went to this place and ordered 2 hotdogs and the hotdogs were nice and juicy. The service is fast and can be noisy and busy during the summertime. Also, around the corner is where the annual Nathan's famous hot dog eating competition takes place annually on the 4th of July.
Kid-friendliness: This place is kid-friendly because it is near an amusement park.
Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible because it is on street level.

Uuuuuu... OK, let's start with the pluses! I love Coney Island!!! As soon as the weather is nice in NY I head there (it's direct by metro). And I see people rushing to Nathan's. Well as much as possible try another address because after a long wait to order (order on tablet or directly), you will discover very average cuisine. I absolutely did not like the famous hot dogs and the chicken dish was not more successful. In short, it helps, it's extremely well placed and that's it. Good ride.

Tasty hot dogs but really the world's slowest service. In October, without a line, I waited 20 minutes for one hot dog and a beer. People have mercy on the time of others.

The staff was helpful. But my food took a while. Many people that were in the line after me got their food before me. And the fries were a little overdone.

Very expensive. The hot dog is very small and costs $6 without toppings. It's good

Lines too long at this one it was a few more not too far away. On the board walk we just had Auntie Em's which is also there then Nathan's
This review is for the stand inside the amusement park. The two guys are incredibly rude and they get mad at you for ordering or asking about the menu.
The food is ok, which is not worth how they make you feel.
