Native restaurant and lounge inarguably, has the best Food, drinks and hookah and honestly, I’ve dined at several other west African restaurants in NYC and their food tops it for me personally. From their Jollof rice to the Egusi soup, Suya and more! The ambience, the music, I could go on! I like how calm it is on the week days and on the weekends, they have a life DJ. They have also improved on their music volume which is a game changer. Great date night / Pre game spot. By far one of my favorite restaurants in New York. They can always take my money ☺️☺️☺️✨
Good vibe

We had the prefix menu on valentine day. Our waiter was busy with many other tables. A long wait to order food.as we waited for our desert for them to say they were out after ordering everything all at once. Instead of just saying they were out of it from the beginning. We were offered a choice to pick something else but after 25 minute wait. On a busy day like this should definitely have enough staff. We did get an apology from the two lovely ladies. I wish it wasn’t such a bad a experience at the Brooklyn location.

Great atmosphere, is you like music while you’re eating you definitely should go here, Dj was smooth, played Afrobeat and afrobeats, R&B, dancehall reggae, some vibe’s,the drinks were good , starters do take a while to come out but it’s worth the wait 20-25 minutes, had a native salad , crispy calamari, Mac and cheese, our server Ola did an amazing service, he checked on timing for everything and came back with updates, for our main we had lamb chops and jollof rice, pan seared salmon with asparagus, a asta dish as well I’d like to say like a Rasta pasta, all of them tasted great, a person who seemed to be the manager was great as well I didn’t get his name, definitely will be going back

I had reservation reservations for 7 PM. For Valentine’s Day. I have not even received food. I’ve been here waiting for over an hour now and I still haven’t gotten anything , just drinks. Please do not come here. Worst service ever.!

It was a very disappointing experience for Valentine’s Day. We got here for 5:45 pm reservations…3 hours later our main course did not arrive and the manager made an excuse that they were busy but when we arrived there was barely anyone in the restaurant. We should have gotten a discount for our pre-fixe meal. This is no way to treat customers. Native Restaurant and Lounge…NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

We had a reservation on 02/14/26, arrived by 7:20, at 8pm!!! Still no service. No waiter in sight. Just water boys. Finally a waiter comes and serves the people that literally just walked in and when I tell him I’ve been waiting almost 40 mins, he tells me to hold on and proceeds to take their order and asked them “Has anyone came up to you guys to take your order yet”. Imagine planning a valentines date and you get service like this? Left immediately. I can’t say I don’t recommend because the DJ was great and the food everyone else was eating looked good, I jsut didn’t get served….

If you a looking for food to be served in a timely manner and at a decent price. Native African and Fusion Restaurant and Lounge is NOT the place to go. We arrived at 5:45pm for a grand prix Valentine's Day dinner at $85 per person. When we arrived there were only 5 other tables that were occupied, so the place was practically empty. However the appetizer (salad and fired calamari) did not arrive until 7pm. We waited over an hour for the entree and when we inquired they said it was the next items coming out in about 5 mins. Only 1 entree arrived and that was at 8:15pm. We inquired about the other entree and around 8:30 pm we inquired again...they hadn't even started cooking it yet. At this point we were so frustrated and hungry we had to ask them to make everything else to go. It was terrible and the food was not worth the wait.

The restaurant was relatively empty with no other guest eating at time of arrival (later reservation most patrons were there for hookah), our food took an hour and our waiter was not attentive. $40 for jerk chicken pasta after waiting an hour was a bit disappointing.
Another well run Nigerian themed restaurant operated by the owner of Lagos. I loved the Suya quesadillas, and the pepper soup was authentic. Hookah smoking on premises was a turn off.

First had these wings catered at an event in Williamsburg and was hooked. The owners and servers were so warm and kind. Went and ate in over the summer: Food is bangin. Don’t come in when starving or in a rush and the service will be adequate - all the servers are very sweet.
Ordered delivery wings they were still great! Only thing is we got blue cheese instead of ranch which was a bummer.
