AWESOME spot for vegetarian/mostly vegan Jamaican food. (They do have a few menu items with fish that are clearly labeled.) Their slogan is "there is no guilt in our pleasure," and I believe this is accurate! They serve a variety of food, from comforting dishes (like lasagna and mac and cheese) to straight up health food (like acai bowls and ginger shots), and everything seems high quality and free of excess oil and salt. They have a great lineup of baked goods. I tried the banana bread and the pumpkin bread and loved both, especially the oats and walnuts they were topped with. I had to try the 7 grain porridge (they have a rotating porridge each day) and really enjoyed it; it was warm and spiced and just the right level of sweetness. One of my other favorite items was the 13 bean soup, with hearty potato and carrot chunks. I also enjoyed the veggie lasagna and the steamed callaloo. They were also super welcoming and helpful in answering my questions about the menu. I would definitely return here for a meal next time I'm in the area, and I hope to try their other locations.

This is the first vegetarian place that I have ever been to. The food is yummy. My favorite are the patties . My absolutely favorite patty is the jerk plantain . It is tasty . It's the best sweet and spicy that is needed. The crust is flaky and fresh . I tried two smoothies from here : the sea moss and the peanut power punch . It's a must try . You will really dive into your food and wonder where did it all go when you're finished devouring it.

Just bought a citrus ribs panini and a Kale Mary shake. Apparently what they advertised on the menu not every chef that works there know how to make the food. The panini was rushed made & looked NOTHING like what I’m used to ordering. The citrus ribs was not even like citrus ribs, it was stale and tough, Totally wasted my money. Owner, please show your chef how to prepare the food properly, it isn’t cheap. Let consumers enjoy what they spend their money on.

Came here two days this week

The first day git a acai bowl... there was 4 options only 2 were avail.

I ordered one and it was orange.... deff not acai regardless it was tasty

Now I went back yesterday ri get a acai bowl....

I swear it was just granola and bananas....

I coulda swore there should have been blueberries and strawberries, raspberries added...
But there was none

Something was telling me to go across the street but i didn't listen.

Oh and acai was bland asf....

I was so disappointed. But hey it Is what it Is.

Btw the smoothies here are amazing

The patty I ordered was very soggy in the middle....

Glad pumpkin wasn't sour... and fyi if you aint know theses places do not make patties from scratch

They use the same company for patties as a distributor. My rant is over.

Oh wait one more thing the girl at the counter FORGOT my pattie I had to remind her to give it to me... and si ce we here... I hate places with 0 accountability for proper lines and employees that don't pay proper attention to what's going on. AND!!!! WHEN YOU TRY TO CALL and there's no answer so you gotta inevitably deal woth people trying to skip you....

I love this place bit I have to be honest and transparent about what happened

Today was my last time visiting Church Ave location.

I ordered the Jerk Chicken Panini, a LEGENDARY sandwich & my absolute favorite which was absolutely not JCP Ive gotten from the Malcom X Blvd location.

Beyond that service was horrible. Get new staff immediately. No one told me my sandwich was ready or asked if I was dining in.

A friend recently introduced me to Natural Blend and that's how the story began. Our first visit was on a Saturday and 2 days later I was paying a second visit for more natural goodness!
Is it possible for the Beyond Burger ? to reshape vegetarian goodness and take it to a whole new level? Drumroll, please!! The answer is positively Yesss! It's a hearty burger sandwiched between 2 behemoth mega-buns; it's a crowd-pleaser!
I recommend a slice or 2 of the Pumpkin Loaf, it pairs well with a hot cup of tea. The Lemon Snack Cake is calling my attention and will be my cake of choice on my next visit. ?
A shout-out goes to the staff at Natural Blend they're kind, welcoming and provide great service. ??

Vegetarian options: There is a great variety of vegetarian options to select from.

I enjoy the food here but the amount of single use plastic being used is just not right. For people dining in, there should be reusable dish/cutlery options. Also, instead of hard plastic takeaway containers, please consider switching to compostable options. We are truly destroying our planet this way!

Dining at this place was an exercise in frustration! In addition to hearing the blenders going constantly for them to make smoothies (expected) there was loud music playing, which constantly cut in & out (jarring). A long wait in a short line, followed by a crazy long wait for our order to be fulfilled - 50 minutes (!). We ordered the waffles with fruit. The waffles were good, but the fruit seemed like it was frozen (not fresh). Definitely *not* worth the wait, especially with two young kids in tow. Oh - and their coffee machine was broken. So no caffeine to help make everything magically better. Do not recommend!

Idk about their other foods but the cornmeal porridge from here is disgustingly bitter and watery. I can tell there is no culture in this establishment and I’m very annoyed because I ordered it from Uber eats I would have never accepted this in person ?

Yes the service is a bit slower, but the quality of the food always makes it worth it. I LOVE hot food and every single thing I order is always hot like it was freshly made. The porridge is always thick and yummy, and the patties are delicious. I even ordered the jerk “chicken” accidentally (not a fan of meat alternatives) but it was perfectly spiced and flavourful.

Yes they can use a little extra help in the front with staffing but I love Natural Blend and the quality of what they’re offering in Flatbush.

Absolutely insane how there’s a long line at 10 in the morning & for not 2 people working there. They are taking all the online orders and totally disregarding the customers that are in the store standing there for a lengthy time. Not worth standing somewhere being ignored to spend my money. The management or owner should do alot better

What is to say about this place well let's get the bad point out first. Loud music in a small place early in the morning is disturbing. I could care less if the music is soft slow rock, jazz, gospel or even reggae. It's just too much early in the morning. People are waking up from the bed coming for breakfast grumpy angry and some happy but they don't want to hear the music so loud turn it down a little bit. No one probably told you this because they're too scared because you're handling their food but I will be the first to let you know. LOL so you can't get five star if you have one complaint or two or three. Nonetheless let's move on . Second reason to minus the star was It was slower than a SLOTH going to the bathroom. We all know sloth are one of the slowest moving animals on this earth. I take it that there were two staff members workin the front. Okay but the line was 4 to 5 people deep. What is the reason for this first thing in the morning? It doesn't take two people to make one smoothie. Now if per chance 1 if the employees on this day was in fact a brand new employee and needed to be trained then I'll cut you some slack but not much. There's no reason for 4 people waiting on line when most of the food is prepared and if you're talking about a smoothie it only takes approximately 4 minutes to make. All right I got that off my chest let's move on. When it comes down to the food I have not tried everything of course I don't think anyone has yet. So let's talk about what I did have I had to ackee n breadfruit with some callaloo. It came in a nice container no leakage of the juice thank God. Nothing worse than smelling like fish and everybody knows coming from you. LOL The breadfruit was "nice" you hear me this is how we Jamaicans talk. you know what nice mean look it up ? Jamaican patois when we say nice , boi you watch yourself it must mean you're very very good. So everything was fresh nothing over salty nothing runny nothing too soft everything was perfect. I never ever said that about any other cooking that I've experienced. It could have been I was very hungry I doubt that very seriously cuz I'm very particular about my food. Nonetheless the plantain was nice it wasn't overly sweet. When I finally did receive customer service it was pleasant a joy to talk to the girl ,a joy to talk to the young man. Professionalism is definitely in the house. However I can't give you five stars or four because there were some things like I just wrote that was a need to be addressed. No reason why five people should be on the line when two people are serving. As far as the ambiance its okay , it's a cafe so therefore it lives up to its name. As you can see in the pictures a good amount of room for a small crowd. Oh they also got a backyard in case you want to go sit in the back. Very clean very neat even the serving station where they did the juice was very neat. Different sort of paraphernalia on the wall and books even a drum I was a little perplexed about the drum but nonetheless it added some beauty to the place. I like the fact that it's located in Flatbush on one of the busiest streets which is Church Avenue it helps to bring good , healthy food to the neighborhood. Now if you're looking for parking it can be a little tricky because once again this is a very very busy neighborhood. So I advise you to check the signs because traffic cops be out here like flies on stink! writing up tickets. And you can't get mad at them so don't even skin up your face. You have to be mad at yourself for parking somewhere you're not supposed to park. Is it well worth getting a ticket to eat here ? NO! so make sure you park properly. LOL I hope you readers will come out and check it. I'm not a vegan by no means but I do eat vegetables so this was the perfect place for me. The cost is not bad for what I had. Will I try the chicken entree yeah I probably will later on. I'm looking forward to it a
